It's been a few weeks since Jennie had started her new job at a child therapist. So far Jennie loves it. Everyday Jennie gets to see different kids and there Jennie get the feeling that they like there with her. One kid told her that they like her better then the last one they had. Everyday that Jennie's gets off of work, Jisoo would be home already. Jennie loves telling Jisoo how cute the little kids she saw for the day. Of course she wouldn't tell Jisoo about the problems they have, just about how Jennie took care of them.
Today Jennie was sitting in her office waiting for her next child she was waiting for. She heard a knock on the door and looked up. Jennie up to open the door to find a mother and her child. The child was a little boy with messy hair as if someone messed with it and his clothes looked as if someone forced them on him.
"Hello ma'am I'm Ms. Kim, I guessing this is Danny." Jennie says getting a smile and a nod from the mother.
"Okay Danny just talk to Ms. Kim okay, she's here to help you." The mother says to her child.
"I'm going to be right outside okay?" The mother tells her son and he nods. Jennie holds out her hand the little boy grabs it lightly. Jennie closes the door and has him sit on the chair across from her. Jennie notices that the boy was looking all around the room until he got to a picture on her desk.
"Who's that?" The boy asked. Jennie noticed he was looking at a picture of her and Jisoo. Jennie smiles and looks at the boy.
"That's my girlfriend Jisoo." Jennie tells him making him look at her.
"She's pretty." The little boy says and Jennie nods.
"Yes she is, now Danny is there anything that's bothering you or something you want to talk about you can't with your mom? Or if you don't want to talk about it's perfectly fine we can do other things." Jennie says getting a nod from the little boy.
"I wanna draw and listen to music." The boy tells Jennie, so she set her clipboard down and brought out pieces of paper and things to color with.
"What would you like to listen to?" Jennie asks as she pulls out her phone and connects it the Bluetooth speaker.
'Good thing these walls are sound proof.' Jennie thinks as she'll try not to play the music too loud.
"Can we listen to SHINee?" The boy asked getting the crayons out of the box. Jennie nods at his taste in music. Jennie plays replay first and sees Danny nod his head to the beat. It was like this for ten minutes and in those ten minutes Jennie saw his drawings. One of them standing out to her more then the others.
This drawing had a small stick figure with and sad face and tears. Next to it was a bigger stick figure with a smile. What made Jennie worry the most was that the bigger stick figure was on top on the smaller stick figure.
"Danny can you tell me what going on in this drawing?" Jennie asks him showing him the drawing.
"That's me and that's my mommy's new friend." Danny tells Jennie and she now understands what the drawing is.
"Has your mommy's friend done this to you? Is that why you drew it?" Jennie asks again looking over the drawing knowing what he's going to say.
"Y-yes." Danny says with a shaky voice. Jennie looks at Danny as she notices the sacred face on his face.
"Danny your mommy'e friend can't get you here. You can talk to me I promise that this person won't get you here." Jennie says making Danny look at her.
"He's done it to mommy too. Sometimes she can push him off, but he's stronger so it's hard for her. I tried to help mommy one time, but then he hit mommy and dragged me into my room and started to take off his pants and underwear and took mine off too. Then......." Danny started crying and went to Jennie for a hug. Jennie hugs him back and wonders what kind of person would do this to a child.
"Thank you for telling me Danny. That's a brave thing you did. Most people are too sacred to talk about stuff like this, but you are very brave. So I'm going to ask if you can keep being brave for you and your mommy. Okay?" Jennie tells him as she dries his tears and he nods.
"Okay." Danny says and they hear a timer go off.
"Well that means our time is up. Try and stay away from you mommy's friend okay, I'll do what I can to make sure he stops hurting you and your mom." Jennie says and holds out her hand for him. He grabs it and goes to the door with her. Jennie opens the door and sees Danny's mom walking out of another therapist office. The other therapist happened to be one of her work friends.
"I'll see you next time okay Danny?" Jennie says and he nods giving her one last hug before he goes with his mom. Once the two walk out Jennie's friend walks over to her.
"I'm guessing the little boy told you what his mom's boyfriend is doing to them." Jennie's friend says to her.
"He actually told me that he was her friend, but that makes more sense. Come on we can talk more in my office." Jennie says to her friend.
"We have to do something, did his mother say she tried anything to get away from him?" Jennie asks her friend.
"She's tried calling the police, but he has covered it up by threatening to kill her son." Jennie eyes widen as her friend finishes. Jennie sighs knowing they can do something about this.
"This little boy is suffering because of this man....I really want to help them. And I will help them no matter what." Jennie says making her friend chuckle.
"You really are something else Jennie Kim, you must of had some good parents." Jennie's friend tells her making her look at the picture of her and Jisoo.
"No just a really great partner."
