March 2, 2012 ~ Friday
Looking back at the two months between December through February, I realized I should have checked upon Patrick Stump even more. I only lived twenty-five houses away.
Coming home with our fro-yo to go, Amber and I chilled in our room.
"Amber, I'm concerned." I said. "How will I ever know if Patrick is even well enough? It's the second day of March; three days since he warned us about him becoming a tragedy. Nothing will be the same, and I don't know when it will be the same again, since he's not active anywhere. Sure, disliking someone is normal, but mocking and teasing them like those assholes is a whole 'nother thing. And sadly, since we have not met him yet, and since we don't have approved transportation, I actually can't be there."
"I have no idea, Zoey." said Amber. "You'll probably hear from him sometime later. If we ask others who aren't on board with you as much, they'll say fake fixing tool crap like, 'you can either branch out and move on, or let this event ruin your life and continue dwelling like a seven-year-old.'"
"That's a good point! I mean, trying to fix someone's problems instantly is like trying to scam them into stealing their money."
"Exactly! You're so right! That's a really good way to put it!"
"At least you're someone who gets it. I'm trying to do a bit of both. While I'm waiting patiently, I am still listening to Soul Punk and work from Fall Out Boy. I am still also listening to other people like My Chemical Romance, Green Day, All American Rejects, Avril Lavigne, Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, Beatles, Queen, Bruno Mars, Jason Derulo and what have you."
"Yeah. You're really smart. Not everyone's an all or nothing person. We're all humans."
"Exactly."
"I do know where you're going with this. Your heart is as big as the Pacific Ocean."
"Yeah, for real. Stella said it was a good thing I was venting about it. If I wasn't and was ignoring it, it would all be coming out with me actually puking. Or, at least sobbing as loud as a conelrad siren."
Amber laughed. "That's a good point."
"Yeah! Hiding it all back is not healthy."
"That is true. Have you heard anything from Patrick?"
"I have not. This is what makes me worried."
"That sucks. Could you go to his house? You went there in December with Taylor."
"I don't know. Should I?"
"I suggest that you'll wait and see. People can be pleasantly surprising. You just never know."
