When Kash got home I held him in my arms and we cried together. I was feeling his pain and it made me think of Gavin.

I have prayed so many times that his killer is found and I will continue to do that because it's happened for Kash.

"I'm sorry it hadn't happened for you Navy." He said with his head in my lap.

"It will happen at some point but I'm glad it happened for you and Morgan can be at peace now," I said.

"I'm just shocked how young he looked and how he took a wrong turn. I would like to help kids before they get to that point." He said.

"I'm sure you could do that big brother program, Kash," I said running my fingers through his hair.

"Yeah, maybe I'll look into that or something." He said.

Lanie starts crying and Kash gets up. "I'll go get her. I need some bug snuggles." He laughs.

I lean my head back on the pillow and close my eyes. I hope that Gavin's killer is found someday. I think I would feel better about it.

I look down at my bracelet which holds his ashes and places my other hand over it and just hold it tight when I heard giggling.

I smile when I see Kash loving on Lanie and she has her hands around his neck smiling.

He gets on the floor with her and I watch as he plays dolls with her and blocks and she giggles and says dada over and over.

I take a couple of pictures of them together so I can look back and cherish them later. Kash is such a great father.

My phone vibrates and I look to see who it was and it's Ivy.

📱Can you come over? Junie has a rash and I'm scared.

📱I will be right there.

"Kash Ivy is freaking out because Junie has a rash she wants me to walk over."

"Sounds good. I'll keep playing with her. Dad is going to stop by I want to talk to him about Morgan." He said.

"Ok I'll cook us some food when I come back," I said.

"Sounds good." He smiled.

I slip my shoes on and walk next door. Des is on the couch and Ivy is pacing the floor.

"Hey, guys! Calm down she's ok I promise. Let me have a look." I said walking over to where Junie was in the bassinet.

I pick her up and put her on the couch and removed her diaper. She has a little rash.

I explain to them what they need to do and how often and then we put a fresh diaper on her. "It's going to happen guys it's not serious I promise," I said.

"We just freaked and I know she's fine I mean I'm a nurse but it feels different when it's your own kid." Ivy laughed.

"You are doing great! Both of you. I need to get home Kash's dad is coming over and I'm going to cook. I'll bring you guys plates by later ok?" I said.

"We appreciate you so much. Thank you!" Des said.

"No problem! Bye guys!" I said walking back to the house. When I went inside Kash was still on the floor with Lanie and so I got busy in the kitchen.

I decided to make fried chicken since it's Kash's favorite and make some sides.

Lanie must have fallen asleep because I watched him carry her upstairs and come back down with the monitor.

"That smells so good." He said walking behind me hugging me. He places a kiss on my neck when there was a knock at the door.

"Come on in dad," Kash said.

"Well, it sure smells good in here." He said.

"It's a great day and Navy is making my favorite fried chicken." He laughed.

"Well, what's this good news?" Julian asked.

"Let's go to the living room and talk while she cooks." He said.

After they disappeared I walked over to the stove and checked the chicken while I mashed up the potatoes and got the veggies on to cook.

When I called them into the kitchen to eat they both were all smiles.

"Where is my little bug?" Julian asked.

"She's sleeping. She wasn't happy when Kash held the new baby today." I laugh.

"Baby?" Julian asked.

"Our neighbor had her baby girl last night Junie and Lanie didn't like me holding her." Kash laughed.

"Here is a pic of her Julian. I was there when she was born." I smile handing him my phone.

"Aww look at her. She's beautiful. I remember when my boys were born I was so happy. And now my Morgan can rest." He teared up and his chin quivered.

I reach over and grabbed his hand. "I'm sure Morgan is so happy and at rest now. I just wish I could have met him." I smiled through tears.

Kash wiped his eyes. Now no crying over this delicious chicken."

"This is the best chicken I've ever eat I do believe." Julian smiled.

"That's why it's my favorite dad." Kash laughed.

Just as we were finishing up Lanie cried. "I'll go get her," Kash said.

"Oh, I'm glad she woke up I can't wait to hold my bug. I have told all the people in the retirement center my sister lives in all about my granddaughter and they have all seen her picture." Julian smiled.

"She loves you too pop pop," I said squeezing his hand again.

"Thank you for making my boy so happy. He has his spark back." He smiled.

"He's helped me to find mine as well. You raised a wonderful man Julian." I smile.

Kash comes down the steps bouncing Lanie on his hip.

"Pop-pop!" She giggled.

Kash placed her in his lap and she wrapped her little hands around his neck. He kissed the top of her head and smiled.

"I love you bug!" He said.

"Love you pop pop." Lanie smiled.

I grabbed my phone and captured the moment.
