ANJALI'S POV:

 Today was the last function before the wedding!!! I was still in my pajamas but I ran down in excitement. I entered the kitchen only to find no one there. 

"Anu" I called out but no one replied. "Masi" yet no reply. Strange. I went back upstairs and went to shower. After I came out, I quickly got dressed. I wore black skinny jeans with a white button down and a gray cardigan Then I headed downstairs and went into the kitchen. "Bahot bukh lag rahi hai" I thought. I went to frigde and found a letter on it. 

'Bhar gaye hai..Thodi dher main surprise leke aate hain' it read. WHAT?!?! What surprise I thought.

Then the sound of people stepping in bulged through my ears. I turned around and saw the rest of the family with two more people.

"Mom? Dad?" I said running to them hugging them. 

"Kesi ho beta" Mom asked as I froze in Dad's hug. "Im fine..wow mom btaya nahin apne?" I complained.

"Kaha that na surprise" she defended. 

"Chalo mom upar chalo fresh ho jao" I said and guided them upstairs.

I knocked and entered mom's room.

"Mom...kitne dino se ye baat mujhe tang kar rahi hai...Mom apne us din phone pe kaha tha ke ek baat btani thi..aab btao" I told her. 

She started talking when Dad came in interupting her.

"Beta" he said and sat down next to mom on the other side of the bed. "Tumari Shaadi ki baat karni hai" he said. 

"Oh no Dad c'mon" I wined. 

"Anjali..serious baat hai" Mom said in a seerious tone. Oh no!!

"Anjali humne America mein ek larka pasand kiya hai...aur ek ya do mehna baad jab vo tayar ho jayega aur tum bhi free ho jayo gi tab humne rishte ke liya baat shru ki hai"

I sat there k=not knowing what to say. 

"Mama, par force toh nahin hai na" I assured.

"No beta par...tumare papa aur mujhe yeh larka bahot pasand hai aur agar koi valid reason nahin hua toh phir samajh lo ke force hi hai" hse stated and left the room Dad folowing her. 

I sat there with tears rolling down my face. I didnt want to get married...I wiped the tears off my face realizing that we would have to get married one day. Then thoughts of Shehry came through my mind when Anu came in.

"Di you ok" she asked

"Yea.." I lied

"Di phele jab mam shaadi ki baat karti thi tab toh aap itni udaas nahin hoti thi aur aab" she asked

"I dont know Anu..Shaadi ka naam sunke me dhar jati hun" I told her

"Its because you wanna marry Shehry" she confronted me.

"What no?!?!" I said declining. 

"Do you love him" she asked me. 

"I dont know its its attraction or love!!" I admitted. She sighed and then left as Mom was calling her. 

I opened my phone and went on to google. 'am i in love test' I typed in. Aaj pta chal jaye ga ke mujhe pyaar hai ya nahin I thought.
