Chapter 20

ANJALI'S POV:

Coming out of my day dream, I fixed the lipstick and my saree and went downstairs as I spotted Mom and Dad. I walked over to them when I saw that Mom was talking to someone and then before I could go there, Shehry came over!!1 What?!?!

"Oh Woh Shehry ki mama hai!!" I said realizing. "Haan apki hone wali saas" Anu said and walked away.. UFF!!! I walked over to Mom joining her. "Aur yeh hia meri beti" 

SHEHRY"S POV:

I wiped off the lipstick and joine Hussain and Sarfaraz downstairs when Mom called for me. She was with this Aunty. 

"Yeh Shehryaar hai..mera baara beta" she introduced me. I bent down to her feet and smiled as she praised me. Then Anjali came over and stood by Aunty. "Yeh meri beti hai" she said and I mentally laughed. Wow..humari moms mil rahi hain. 

"Itni sundar lag rahi ho" Mom said kissing her forehead. "Pata hai Simi, (Anjal's Mom's name) mujhe airport mein isne hi maadat ki thi aur tab toh hum jaante hai nahin the ke hum kon hai..hum ek dusre ke liye strangers the phir bhi isne meri maadat ki" Mom praised her. 

Acha...waah itni pasand aagayi meri maa ko..asli roop kahan dekha hai...

"Acha..." Aunty said shocked. 

"Hm aur kya...Acha Anjali beta..konse college parti ho" Mom asked her. No no no no!!!!

"Yeh Norsvale college jhati hai" Aunty answered. 

"Acha Shehry..tum bhi toh wahan jaate ho" Mom reminded. I nodded and look at Anjali who was laughing at my awkwardness. 

"Tum toh jaante hoge ek dusre ko" Mom asked..but before I could say no Anjali spoke out. 

"Ji Aunty..actually humari ek class bhi hai saath mein..aur kay baar mall mein bhi milai hai" she said shooting me a look at the last part emphasizing the word mall and she laughed. 

"Acha chalo sahin hai..." Mom said and then Anjali's dad came over. 

"Abhi abhi Asif saab se mil ke aaraha hun...baade dino baad" he said talking about my dad. 

"Acha.." Aunty said. "Bhai yeh Shehry" Mom said and I again bent down to his feet. Then they kept on talking and talking. Anjali left and I was about too when Mom spoke out. 

"Pta hai Shehry aur Anjali ek dusre ko jaante hai college mein saath parte hai" Mom mentioned. 

"Waah" He said patting my shoulder. I smiled briefly and left. Then the sangeet started. 

ANJALI'S POV:

I was chatting with Anu when I saw Shehry..Uff...killer..!!! Then someone spoke out in the mike. 

"May I have all your attenton plz!!!" JIju spoke in the microphone as everybody's eyes trailed him. "Mujhe pta hai ke aaj kal ki shaadian mein nach ghana chalta rehte..par mein kuch special karna chahta hun takhi mein aur meri Ayaat is din ko kabhi na bhule" he said as oohs and aahs went everywhere...

"Kuch zyaada hi ho raha hai.." I elbowed Ayaat as she blushed. 

"Toh phir ho jaye battle...Boys side vs Girls side" he said.... OMG!!!!

'Hum hi jheete gain" Hussain said. 

"Oho..Mr. Conceited..aise kese jeet jau ge" I said standing up walking up to him crossing my arms. 

"Chod na time waste" Shehry said. 

"Ohh..Lagte hai koi dar gaya" I challenged. 

"Lagta hai tum takhi nahin!!! Challenge..phirse??" he asked and I crossed my arms smirking.
