Chapter 51

SHEHRY'S POV:

I heard footsteps coming closer and then all of a sudden there she was. BAM! The first I saw were her eyes.

She looked and saw Hussain and then moved her eyes around the room until they landed on me. I stared back at her and she looked at me with a confused yet loving expression on her face and all I could do was stare back at her. She looked into my eyes and I looked away but looked back at her.

"Ahmm" Mom faked cough to bring her back into reality and me too. She looked towards Mom and smiled and brought the tea over.

"Kesi hai Anjali beta" Mom said and kissed her forehead and took the tea. She continued to Dad who did the same and Hussain and then finally me.

She hesitated before walking up to me but finally did and stood there. She made no eye contact and looked away and all I did was stare at her.

"Aab chai bhi lele" Hussain said elbowing me and I lifted up my arm but it hurt so much that I put it back down. Everyone else was busy in talking. I looked at her blank and I didn't even know if she was just gonna walk away.

She looked to her left and gulped and then handed the tea to me in my hand. I tried not touching her hand but the plate was too small and out fingers touched. She closed her eyes for a second and then all of a sudden rushed back upstairs. +

"Araay?" Mom said laughing.

"Sharmagayi" Aunty said and laughed it off with mom.

"Shehry beta..tum jaa kar usse upar hi mil laho...uska kamra toh tumhe pata hi hai" Uncle said and my heart was happier than ever.

ANJALI'S POV:

I rushed and closed the door behind me as I fell on my bed. Shehry??? Was it really just happening? Is that why I felt like today was gonna be a good day? I was so confused. Nothing fit in my mind. I didn't even know if I was even dreaming.

And then there was a knock on the door. At first my heart rushed but I realized I knew it was Anu. She came up here to comfort me.

I rushed and opened the door.

"Anu-" I got cut off when I saw someone else standing there. He bit his lip and my heart raced. I let go of the door and ran back to my bed my back facing him. I heard the door shut and I closed my eyes. I gulped scared because I knew my emotions were invading my body.

I gulped when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I kept my eyes closed. In a midst second, his other hand placed itself on my shoulder and turned me around. I kept my eyes closed and back away but I could hear his footsteps walk closer to me. I didn't realize when my back hit the wall and I couldn't move back no more.

He moved closer and placed his lips on my neck making me tingle a little and I couldn't control. I pushed him away even tho I knew I didn't want him to leave.

He stood there confused and even I didn't know why I wanted him to leave. I didn't want him to leave but my brain said something else.

"Kya??" he asked and laughed it off as he stepped up to hug me again but I stopped him.

"Shehry..hum..tum bhul rahe ho..hum...matlab hum dono.." I tried explaining but I couldn't say anything.

"Haan! bolo na Anjali" he said seeming mad. I gulped.

"Shehry-" I tried talking again but couldn't.

"Kya hua..bolo na..yeh bolo ke Taani ke liye tumne mujhe choda tha...yeh bolo ke khud ke pyaar pe bharosa hi nahi tha..bolo na yeh Anjali" he yelled and I was shocked yet scared.

He looked at me waiting for me to answer his face red with anger. He shook his head and raced out the room and I fell down my body weak not knowing what to do.

SHEHRY'S POV:

I went to the bathroom before I came back and sat back down with Uncle and Dad.

"Itni jaldi aagaye..thoda aur baat karle the" Aunty said and Uncle agreed.

I smiled not knowing how to response and looked at Dad who knew something wrong had happened and he covered me up.

"Chalo..koi baat nahi vese bhi shaadi ke baad ek dhusre se kahan chutkaara milega!' Dad joked and Uncle laughed.

"Acha..phele hi shaadi fix hogi...bachon se toh pucha hi nahin" Mom said and Aunty laughed.

"Anu beta..jaa Anjali kp bula ke le aa" Aunty said to Anu and she obeyed.

We talked for a few minutes when Anjali finally came down with Anu in front of her.

"Ither bhet" Mom told her getting up from next to me and I got mad yet happy.

"Kitni achi jodi lag rahi hai.." Aunty said and Mom agreed.

"Shehry beta..is shaadi se koi aitraaz toh nahin hai naa?" Dad asked and I was silent when Hussain spoke for me.

"Of course aitraaz nahin hai...Shehry bhai ki toh bale bale ho gayi" he said and everyone laughed and I chuckled a little bit.

"Aur Anjali tum?" Aunty asked I could see her hesitation. I looked at her from the corner of my eye waiting to see what she had to say.

"Oho jiju..abhi se chup chup kar dekhoge kya meri Di ko??" Anu said and everyone laughed at me and I laughed too.

"Chalo aaj baara kushi ka din...bacho..congratulations" Mom said hugging Anjali. "Itni sundar meri bahu" she said and Anjali smiled and then went back upstairs.

After a few more hugs, we all walked towards the dining table and sat down.

"Anjali ither mere saat bheto" Mom said pointing to seat in between me and mom.

"Nahin Aunty..mein baad mein kahungi..abhi bhuk nahin hai" she said and Mom laughed.

"Acha beta..aur aaj se yeh Aunty kehna band kardo!" Mom joked and Anjali smiled while everyone laughed.

"Dheere dheere se meri zindagi me aana...dheere dheere se" Hussain sang under his breath but everyone could hear him.

"Acha..lagta iski bhi shaadi karni paregi" Mom joked and everyone laughed at him.

And we continued eating. I realized that Anjali had gone upstairs while we all talked but I just ignored her still mad with her.
