MaNan: Trust?

All of them were back to their rooms by 1 in the night. Manik didn't have words to describe his feelings. He was overwhelmed with the affection that he felt from everyone of them.

Nandini came to her room & was about to go towards the washroom when her gaze fell on the envelope placed on the table. She had forgotten to check it. Moving towards the table she picked it up & tried to find any name or address on the cover.

Finding nothing she decided to open it. There was a letter inside it. She removed it to find a pendrive stuck to the letter.

Nanz... I know you are confused to find this anonymous letter at your doorstep. But trust me I'm just a well wisher. I need to tell you something important but I need my identity protected too.

Nanz I don't know how you would react to this but....

A soft knock at the door disturbed her in between. Placing the letter back on the table, she went to open the door.

"Manik? What are you doing here?", She asked with a confused frown.

"Why? Is it only your right to sneak around?", He asked mischievously while moving inside her room.

"Yes... I mean No... You obviously can.", She fumbled.

"Relax... I was just kidding.", He said as he plopped onto her bed.

"You are sleeping here?", She asked gleefully.

"Now that I'm staying here... Then I thought why not I enjoy a good night's sleep.", He said & stretched his arm out gesturing her to come & sleep beside him.

She walked towards the bed & jumped in his arms like a baby making him chuckle.

"After so long... This feels so nice.", She snuggled close to him.

He tightened his hold without saying anything. They stayed like that for a while without a word.

"Manik... Let me get up. I need to freshen up.", She started wriggling in his arms trying to get up.

He nodded his head in a no & put his one leg around her waist restricting her movements.

"I'll be back in 5 minutes... You can put up a timer.", She said flicking his nose.

"If you don't come out in 5 minutes then I'll punish you.", He warned her mischievously.

"Ohh...kay.... But for now let me get up atleast.", She said making him loosen his hold.

As soon as she was out of the bed, she ran towards her wardrobe & fished out the first pair of night suit that she found.

She took a quick shower & came out of the bathroom as fast as she could.

Before she could realise what was happening she was picked up in the air & tossed on the bed. Everything happened so fast that she had forgotten to breathe. The moment she opened her mouth to speak, a pair of lips closed in on hers & took her for a earth shattering kiss.

Letting go of her lips he came down to her neck. Briefly lifting his head up he looked into her eyes to find any sign of discomfort.

Surprise? Yes. Discomfort? No.

As seconds ticked by he found a faintest of a smile appearing on her lips making him grin at her. She coiled her hands around his neck & brought his face down to place a kiss at the corner of his lips.

"You were 3 minutes 26 seconds late.", He muttered, suddenly embarrassed of his earlier actions. What was he even thinking while pulling that stunt?
