MaNan: Trust?

A sleek car entered the gates of a classy building. The first thing that anyone would notice was the mesmerizing grass backdrop with ORNATE Heights written over it in beautiful calligraphy.

Manik came out of the car looking his usual handsome self. He started walking inside the building with confidence oozing out of his stance.

The previous owner Mr. Luthra came  to the reception to welcome him. That's when everyone knew that he had taken over the company. All of them were of the impression that a hideous looking old man with a stomach that appeared to be of a pregnant lady would be joining as their new boss. Girls regretted not dressing up to impress this piece of hot mess.

"Listen up everyone. This young man here has taken up the responsibility to take Ornate to a new height. Welcome aboard Mr. Malhotra.", Mr. Luthra introduced him to the staff present there as all of them clapped.

"Good Morning people. Manik Malhotra here. And it's not just me who is gonna take this company to new heights but you guys. There are so many people here who have been working for this company for years now. Who are much more experienced then me. All of us would together make it happen."

All the people had appreciative smiles over their faces. Mr. Luthra gestured an employee to come forward.

"Mr. Malhotra this is Varun Mathur, one of our very hardworking employee. He would assist you with all that you need. You can test his skills for a month & then decide if you want to appoint him as your PA or you can choose whoever you want.", Mr. Luthra said politely.

"Okay Mr. Luthra thank you so much for your guidance.", Manik shook hands with him & left towards his cabin with Varun following him.

"Varun, get me the accounts of all the showrooms that we have around Mumbai. Monthly sales, target customers, profit margin, cost sheets I want every detail on my table till afternoon.", Manik told him without wasting much time.

Varun was surprised would be an understatement. Not even an hour in the office and he was looking as if he was working at this position for years. Varun could actually see the company's bright future.

"Yes Sir... I'll get to work right away.", Saying this Varun left his cabin.

As he was alone in the cabin he looked around carefully. A glass table present in the centre with an Apple MacBook placed over it. Behind his chair there was a bookshelf with all the business related books placed neatly in it. On the left there was a couch with a coffee table in front of it. On his right was a glass wall from which he could see the outside view. Though it was a small building but it was situated in  posh business area of Mumbai.

He stood near the glass wall staring at the view with his hands tucked inside his pockets. Closing his eyes he took a deep breath. This is it. From this point no one can stop him from achieving his dream. 5 years & he would make sure that ORNATE makes it's place in the Top Indian Clothing Brands.

He walked towards his chair & ran his fingers over it trying to make himself believe that this was indeed true. As soon as he sat over his chair, his phone started ringing.

"Love.", He bit his lip & smiled looking at the display.

"Just what I needed.", He muttered before answering her call.

"Hello Love.", He exclaimed.

"Wow! Mr. Hot shot Businessman seems to be in a very good mood. How is your day going?", She teased.

"It's just awesome. Feels like a dream come true. I'm right now in my cabin. Wait you should see it. How about face time?", He asked & even before she could answer he had already cut the call. Within seconds he face timed her & greeted her with a childlike smile. She was actually surprised looking at this new Manik. Business ran in his veins, she could feel it. Not even an ounce of this excitement was seen on his face when they had gone to sign the deal with Q Labels. He loved business with his everything.
