Cruel World {Minho}

Chapter 18

I wake up noticing a body beside me and a blanket covering the both of us. My bare body isn't completely exposed so I decide to put my clothes back on,I do it quickly then I hear stirring beside me. I turn round and smile when I see it's Minho.

"Last night was amazing." I say,leaning down to kiss him "Now get dressed,the others will be getting worried."

So he does,and while he is I walk round and study the map room. Then we walk back to the Glade,Minho waits for Thomas and I go to find Teresa.

"Where did you go last night Emily?" She asks me.
"Umm.. Just for a walk. Why?"
"I was just wondering. So,what are we doing today?"
"Just our normal jobs. We're slicers,it's pretty easy."

We walk into the Slaughter house and grab a knife and some meat.

"What's she doing here?" One of the Slicers demands.
"This is Teresa." I say,like no one even knows she exists "She's my new best friend."
"Emily,we didn't assign her a job yet." Winston says.
"So?"
"That's okay, it's just she could be better off a Med-Jack or something else couldn't she?"
"Are you saying you don't want her here?"
"No. Of course not!"
"Oh piss off Winston! We know when we're not wanted."

Me and Teresa storm away after that,I feel a sudden rush of anger at him.

"Where do we go now?" Teresa asks.
"No where." I say.

I slump down outside the Maze,near enough to the doors. Waiting for my boyfriend. Teresa sits beside me.

"You love that boy don't you?" She asks.
"Yes." I nod "Love is a complicated thing. Especially here."
"I remember love in my past,none now though."
"But you can have it again. When we get out of here."
"We won't."
"Don't think like that!"

Minho and Thomas suddenly come running back from the Glade,looking exhausted. I immediately run up to Minho,Teresa following behind me. We suddenly see Clint who runs up to the four of us.

"Thomas! Alby wants you."

They run away afterwards,so we remain.

"I gotta go the the map room. I'll see you later." He kisses my cheek then runs away. I glance after him in pure lust.

It starts to get darker as me and Teresa head to the kitchen.

"Emily.."
"Yeah?"
"The doors.. Shouldn't they be closing?"
