"Ok, well even though you fainted, I got to skip the whole day of school and not get in trouble so you are officially my favourite person ever" Marlene laughed as the two girls walked to the slytherin common room together.
"maybe I should faint ever day and never do school again" Alex replied as the other girl grinned.
"I like that plan as long as I get to skip with you" she replied
"oi!" they heard a shout down from the end of the corridor they where walking down, then they heard footsteps of multiple people running.
One of said people ran straight into Alex causing her to fall over.
"Oi!" this time Marlene shouted "watch where your going, she only just got out of the hospital wing!" she finished before turning to Alex and holding out her hand "are you ok? does your head hurt? should we go back to the hospital wing?" she questioned worriedly
Alex laughed as she took the other girls hand "I'm fine don't worry" she replied as Marlene pulled her up
"what happened why where you in hospital?" Sirius asked, not even bothering to apologise to her, as she looked up to see he was the one who ran into her, accompanying him was Peter, James and Remus.
"yeh, I'm fine, i fainted" She replied
"and now we get the whole day of" Marlene teased
"what?" James exclaimed
"not fair" Peter complained
"you to?" Sirius asked Marlene, who nodded enthusiastically
"I want the day of" he complained sighing, then suddenly grinning "why did you faint?" he asked Alex "if you tell me then I can do it and faint to and get the day of too" he finished
"well I didn't want to faint, it just kinda-" Alex began before being cut of by another voice.
"Sirius Orion Black!" the voice shouted "give me my book back, before i hex you, you utter twat!" it continued as it got closer "oh, hi, Alex what are you doing here?" The voice belonging to Sirius younger brother Regulus asked.
Laughing a little Alex replied with "I was heading to the common room"
"we get the day of" Marlene added
"do you need to tell everyone we see that?" Alex asked rolling her eyes playfully
"well yeh, it makes then jealous" Marlene replied as if it where obvious "who even are you" she asked facing Regulus "and why do you look like a mini Sirius?"
Regulus scowled at the last part and opened his mouth but never got the chance to speak "I cloned myself" Sirius replied.
"I'm many things Black, but I'm not stupid" Marlene said snatching the book Sirius was holding out of his hand
"Hey" Sirius retorted "give that back, its mine"
Marlene snorted "no its not you've never read anything in your whole entire life not even the school text books"
"well its not yours either" Sirius glared
"no" Regulus began "its neither of yours as its my book" he finished glaring daggers at his older brother.
Marlene laughed " hes just as grumpy as you are Sirius" she replied and now the younger Black brother was glaring at her and if looks could kill then Marlene would be six feet under.
"what?" Marlene asked laughing at the look on Regulus face
"Just give me my book back, you bitch" he snarled getting angry at everyone in that corridor,
"Reg, mate chill" Sirius said turning on his brother
"One don't call me Reg, two I'm not your mate and three don't tell me when to chill" he replied before turning on his heals and walking away.
"wait!" Marlene called after him "don't you want your book back?" she asked but he ignored her and continued walking down the corridor
"wait here, ill give it to him" Alex said taking the book from Marlene's hands as she ran after the slytherin boy.
Luckily, Alex had long legs and good pace and caught up with the boy pretty quickly.
"Reg!" she called out making him turn around and seeing the tears in the boys eyes she asked "whats wrong?"
"Sirius" he answered causing her to frown, "what where you even doing with them anyway, I thought you hated them?" he asked
"I- well I don't know their not so bad" Alex replied
Regulus rolled his eyes as that "yeh, not so bad"
"whats that supposed to mean?" Alex asked
"are you friends with them, then, is that what that was?" the boy asked ignoring Alexandra's question
"I don't know, their nice okay" Alex replied "and I was with them, because I fainted so madame Pomfrey wanted Marlene to stay with me in case I fainted again"
"are you ok, why did you faint?" Regulus asked his tone going instantly from angry to concerned
"I'm fine, don't worry" Alex replied
"Just don't trust them ok?" the boy said "especially Sirius" he added "because you may think he likes you, he care's for you , but its all a facade, that's what they do, they act like they love you, they act like they'll be there forever and then one day they begin to pack, they pack all there stuff and then they leave taking that 'love' with them and they don't look back" he finished
"what?" Alex muttered confused "Reg what happened?" they asked putting an arm on the boys shoulder to comfort him.
"Sirius, is planning on running away, I heard him talking about it with James" the boy replied looking at the floor.
"oh, Reggie, I'm so sorry" Alex said pulling him into a hug.
"its not your fault" he said "I'm sorry to, I just, I got so angry, he didn't tell me, and then he had the nerve to take my book and call me mate and act like everything is fine, cause yeh it will be, for him, but not for me, I'll be stuck at that house still, I'll have the title of the Black heir, I'll have the burden that he couldn't bear, he'll get to be happy but I'll be stuck suffering" Regulus was crying quietly into Alex's shoulder "sorry, I should't rant to you, that's not fair on-" he began
"no, Reg you can tell me anything I will always be her for you, always, I promise" Alex interrupted and got a small smile from the boy.
"I should go, I've got a class" he said taking the book back
"ok, bye Reg, I'll talk to you later" Alex replied sighing.
"bye, Alex" the boy replied as he began to walk away.
A/n - The bit Regulus said "that's what they do, they act like they love you.." was inspired and partially copied from the movie Bolt I think, I heard it from tiktok but it was originally from bolt I'm pretty sure.
Also your gonna have to wait now for the next chapter for her and Marls to spend the day together as this chapter turned out way longer than expected and I want to give her and Marlene a while together so I didn't want to cram it onto the end of this chapter. So sorry about that :)
Anddddd I need help deciding who, Rains love interest should be, since they don't identify with a specific sexuality they can date anyone of any gender so give me some ideas of who you ship them with from the marauders era or you can make up an OC character (if you do make up an OC and I use them I'll credit you!) in the comments!!
