The weeks following Takeover keep me busy. I managed to sneak in an appointment to see a gynecologist the day before Kyle and I leave for Hawaii for my childhood best friend's wedding.

I sit alone in the waiting room. I play with my thumbs as I wait for my name to be called. My leg bounces with anticipation and nerves. I assume that I'm about seven weeks if blood tests are coming back as positive for pregnancy.

"Rylee Garcia," a nurse calls. I stand up. She looks at me. "Right this way, Miss Garcia." We head to the back and she puts me in an examination room.

The nurse pulls out the paperwork I just filled out and looks over it. I swing my legs a bit as I wait for a question.

The nurse says, "So, it looks like you've just recently had a test that came back positive for pregnancy. Was that an at-home test or a bloodwork test?"

I say, "Bloodwork test. I needed a complete physical for my job, including bloodwork, and the pregnancy test came back positive."

"Where do you work?" she asks, writing this stuff down. "It's important that we have this for your file if your job involves a lot of physical activity."

Hesitantly, I say, "I work for WWE."

The nurse, whose name on her ID badge says "Brooke", says, "WWE. Backstage personnel?"

I shake my head and say, "NXT wrestler."

Brooke blinks at me and asks, "Okay, and have you been in the ring since you've found out you were pregnant?"

Again, I shake my head and say, "No. As soon as I found out I was pregnant I transitioned into a managerial role for one of my co-workers."

"Have you been in the ring while pregnant?" Brooke asks, looking up at me from the papers.

"Only in training," I admit. "I haven't had a TV match since I signed with WWE." I was supposed to have one last week but that didn't happen. It's Wednesday. I fly out with Kyle tomorrow to Hawaii. We have Friday to do whatever and Saturday is Kyla's wedding. NXT was moved to Tuesdays starting yesterday but he's busy today with filming promos since we're staying in Hawaii for a week and won't be getting back until Thursday next week.

The nurse says, "What was the date of your last period?"

I say, "Mid-February. Around the 20th or so." That was seven or eight weeks ago. Almost two months.

Brooke writes that down and says, "Okay, I'm just going to take some vitals for the doctor. Do you have a preference on a man or woman doctor? I know that some women prefer another woman to be their gyno."

As she takes my blood pressure, I say, "I'd like a woman doctor but if there isn't one available then a man is fine."

She nods and asks, "Are you on any medications? Anti-depressants, anxiety, pain meds?"

I shake my head and say, "I picked up some over-the-counter prenatal vitamins the day I found out I was pregnant."

"The doctor will prescribe some for you," she says. "Usually only a one month's supply so you'd have to go and get it refilled every month. Prescription vitamins are usually better for mother and baby. The doctor will also perform an ultrasound today to determine how far along you are and the expected due date. You'll also probably have to schedule your next appointment with the doctor."

As Brooke listens to my heartbeat, I ask, "How often are appointments needed?"

The nurse says, "Once a month until the second trimester. After the second trimester starts, it's usually every other week. About a month before your due date, you should schedule weekly appointments." She writes my vitals down.
