CHAPTER ELEVEN
"Bucky, speak to me." Kida whined, turning her steering wheel.

Bucky refused, his mouth dipped and turned away from her. The demon stared outside the car's window, watching buildings passby, refusing to make conversation with the tan woman next to him. The demonic being was still annoyed with her yesterday when she had both kicked him, and taken his half of the blanket. He only huffed when Kida chose to call for him again.

"Cunt." Kida murmured, her tongue swiping her bottom lip.

Kida brought her car down the street on a small hill, her eyes snapping to the path and the directions on her phone. Reaching the end of the road, she turned off her engine watching the eggshell toned house to her right.

Stationed just near a steep hill with a dirty road, the house itself was on the edge connected to all the other houses: sturdy with two-story residence lacking any form of architectural imagination; dull and boring, not even reaching the American dream - barely the British dream (if there was one). Sitting on the edge, the house seemed to be tilting, on the verge of tripping and stumbling down the hill.

Kida turns to look at Bucky, who only stares past her intently looking at the house, possibly waiting for it to fall. "Come on."

They both made it up to the steps of the front door, the frame chipping with aged old red paint - mostly chipped around the doorbell - those old ones attached to the actual door, shaped as a lion's head, the bell attached to it's open mouth. Bucky was rooted behind Kida, staring down the hill. Taking his role of ignoring her all too serious.

Kida brought her hand up to the doorbell, she hesitated. Her fingers curled around the knob again, she hesitated. "I don't think-" The man blessed under his breath, stepped beside her and clutched the knob. He banged the chipping door multiple times, longer than necessary. Kida only winced, her eyes squinting out of embarrassment.

The door opened a few moments later, a man opened it. He was barrel-chested, with large forearms. He was mighty with a receding hairline. Brawny with small eyes and lips. Kida didn't know where to look, his chest jutted in her face. "Hello, my name's Kida and this-" She points at Bucky, his gaze not so discreetly widening at the man's chest. "-Bucky. We were hoping you could tell us where Kelsey Lawley is?" Kida smiled sweetly, she hoped the man would help. He didn't seem all too keen on opening the door to two strangers.

The man dropped his jacked neck to Kida, his eyes dark. "You're, like, twenty years too late."

Kida's brows shot up. Not due to the man's words, but to how soft his voice was. "I'm sorry, what do you mean too late?'"

He brought his large hands and scratched the nape of his jacked neck, snapping his gaze between Bucky and Kida. "The family moved when the little girl was, about, two." His mouth dipped, shrugging. "They were a weird family anyway. Why are you looking for them?"

Kida cocks her head to the side, unsure on how to approach her next words. "Well-"

"Kelsey's my cousin. Me and my girlfriend-" Bucky points and Kida, her mouth dropping. "Were looking for her. I-i was put up for adoption before I could actually meet one of my relatives. I just want to meet her." Bucky smiled sadly, his eyes flashing behind his glasses.

The man looked upset for Bucky's story, a flash of pity flashing past his eyes. "I don't know what to say to you, mate. But, if you want, you can go up to the attic and look through the boxes. The family left almost all of their stuff, as well as the kid's toys." The man opened the door wider, moving his body so the duo could walk through.

"Harry, by the way." He brought his hand out to shake with Kida.
