~Vincent~

She looks at me, then looks at Rose, laying unconscious on the white bed. Her warm eyes suddenly turn cold.

"Dr Sam, how is the patient?"

"She's doing well so far, just a mild concussion. Are the cops out now?"

"Yeah. They are. Vincent, are you the one who uh, called them" She asks, still looking at the doctor.

"Yeah. Sorry if I caused a ruckus"

"N-no, it's fine. Very nice and thoughtful of you to always help people. Help every damn person" She grits out, a fake smile on her face. What's wrong with her?

"Miss Jennings, are-"

"-I'm fine. Just fine" she suddenly snaps and walks out. Dr Sam goes on with what he's doing, wrapping a bandage round her head, he asks me to please assist him to hold her head and I do.

When he's done he tells me that she should wake up in a few minutes. I nod, thank him and leave to find Sapphire.

I didn't come with her room card, so I knock.

"I'm coming!" That's Liv. She opens the door and frowns at me.

"Maybe you should stop by another day, she's not really in a good mood, hero" hero?

"I, uh, I just need to-"

"-Liv, who is it?!"

"Uh. Vincent!" She yells back and then there's silence.

"So, uh, bye-"

"-Wait" she closes the door. I groan, but turn around and walk back to the hospital room.

After a while, Rose wakes up with a groan. She holds her head and sits up. She looks around for a second and I get up to give her a glass of water. I'm pissed at her for how ungrateful she was being.

She takes it and drinks, dropping the still almost full glass on the table.

"M-my dad. Is he still in jail?" My heart breaks at how scared she sounds.

"We're expected at the station to give our statements tomorrow morning" I say and she nods, wincing a bit.

"How are you feeling now?"

"Been better" she mumbles and stands.

"Where are you going?"

"B-back to my room" she says and walks out. I sigh and stand to leave. I return the key at the reception. The lady smiles at me.

"Guessing you're the one who called 911" I flush

"Uh, yeah. Thanks for the key"

"Anytime handsome" she says and winks at me, I smirk, she is pretty though. I walk to the door, then decide to go back to Sapphire's floor.

I knock.

"She left for practice!" Liv yells from inside and I sigh. I'm tired. I need to sleep a bit before the concert.

I drive back to school and sleep off once my head hits the pillow.

...

"Vincent, man. Can you learn to lock your fucking door?" Ryan yells, snapping me out of my damn sleep.

"What?" I groan, blinking several.times to clear the blur in my eyes, fast enough to catch him roll his eyes.

"You need to learn to lock your door man, haven't you heard of security before!" He snaps again and I frown.
