~Vincent~

"Vincent"

"Hey" I reply as I sit on the chair opposite her.The scent of coffee too strong to tell if it's hers or the cafe's, probably both. A maid walks up to us.

"Please, may I take your order?"

"White mocha. You?" She turns to me. Coffee? Nah?

"I'm fine, thank you"

"No. No he's not. You need to take something"

"Fine. A cup of water would do" I say, knowing fully well that my racing heart needs to cool down.

The waiter brings the drinks and leaves.

"Down to business then. I don't wish to spend much time here" She says, opening her bag and slapping a file on the table. I down the water and bring out the paper in the file.

I gulp, visibly as I read the contract. I didn't think we'd need a contract. I thought we'd just come an agreement.

"I know what you're thinking. Well, my bestie suggested this and I like having all the rules set straight"

"Right. Uh..."

"Just tick it all" she says, dismissively, handing me a pen. I start. No emotions... Oh well, she doesn't have to know. I tick it.

"N-no cuddles?"

"Most especially please, I hate those things" she actually grimaces. I sigh and tick it.

"Shaven or trimmed?"

"It's your body. Anyone you want" that brings a bit of colour to my face.

"No phone calls? Why?" I ask and she shrugs.

"I don't really pick my calls. And besides, a simple text would suffice"

"Okay"

"No telling anyone. You told your bestfriend"

"Yeah. You can tell yours" I'm so not telling Cindy about this. Maybe Ryan, but he'll tell Cindy too. So..no.

"No getting jealous...I think that's a bit impossible. You're very gorgeous, you attract attention everywhere you go. I can't..."

"Vince. Just don't make it obvious. I'm not some property you can claim"

"With what you made here, it seems you just don't want to let me in"

"Let you in where? I'm just being careful"

"Too careful" I counter and she sighs, taking a sip of her coffee. She closes her eyes for a while. Then looks me straight in the eyes. Damn, those forests do a number on me, I look down.

"Listen, it's hard to trust when all you have from the past is evidence why you shouldn't. Sometimes, when I think I know people, they disappoint me in ways I never thought they could"
