"It has already been 18 days since Wen gongzi left." Qi Ye updates the time to Zhou Zishu, who has been inside the armory to heal his wound then find a way to help the dying Wen Kexing.

Zhou Zishu has long lost track of time and was stunned to hear that many days have passed in overall. Yet, at the same time, he finds that time was slow as well. From the moment, he opened his eyes to Wen Kexing's half dead state, Zhou Zishu felt like it has been an eternity as he diligently searched for anything that could help him.

"Ye qianbei said that it would take about 16 days for Wen gongzi to complete the energy transfer to you. According to the information Senior Ye knew, all the givers died after depleting everything from their body. But with his direct experience, he said that the giver didn't instantly died. There is approximately 3 days gap where one could survive if the severed meridians were fixed in time. But despite having time, whether one could keep his life or not is up to the heavens will." Qi Ye fills Zhou Zishu on the information that he had missed due to early departure. "We came here as fast as we could, but the entrance of the armory was blocked from the avalanche. Thus, we had some delay to dig through."

"Shishu hurried here right away after Ye qianbei transfer the inner energy that could use to save you. We also needed to make preparation for the treatment." Chengling helps explain while handing Zhou Zishu a drink.

Only at this time that for the whole time here, Zhou Zishu hasn't had any food nor drink. There were other urgent matters that he needed to deal with and totally ignored these trivial things. When the drink made its way inside, he just learned that his throat was dried like a desert. He couldn't help thinks that Wen Kexing would most likely be as thirsty since he also hadn't had any drinks. Once, Wu Xi is done with his magic, Zhou Zishu plans to personally feeds water to Wen Kexing whether or not he has woken up.

-------------------------------

Currently inside the armory, they have set up an isolation zone for Wu Xi to treat Wen Kexing. It was said to be a secret method that Wu Xi doesn't want outsiders to see. Therefore, the others were not allowed to enter this isolation zone except for Qi Ye. In truth, it wasn't any of such high secret, Wu Xi understands the feelings that Zhou Zishu is experiencing at the moment. If the latter person were to see Wen Kexing with the needles piercing his whole body, Wu Xi fears that it would cause Zhou Zishu to be distressed even more. Despite the person himself wouldn't show this to outsiders, it doesn't mean that he doesn't feel it.

Outside the isolation zone, Qi Ye and Chengling manage to drag Zhou Zishu out of the armory to find Ye Baiyi's manor on the other side of Chang Ming mountain. There are daily necessities and dried food available since his stocks are always full. So, he suggests them that they could head over to use whatever because Ye Baiyi has no intention of coming back as it's time for him to move on.

Fortunately, Chengling was able to learn some of the easy dishes that Wen Kexing made during their stay at the Four Seasoned Manor. Otherwise, they may starve to death or die from food poisoning despite having abundant of ingredients.

After Chengling finished making a light soup, Zhou Zishu volunteers using his light footwork to carry the tray of hot food over to the isolation zone to serve Wu Xi and maybe get a glimpse of the other person inside that zone. However, Wu Xi's foot work and martial arts are not any inferior to Zhou Zishu. As a result, the former hasn't been successful to get a peek.

Zhou Zishu was going to ask to see Wen Kexing a little but eventually swallowed down his words. Thinking back ... he has seen him died once ... although it may be a fake one but the pain that he experienced at that time was very real. When thinking of seeing him in such state but this time with it being real ... Zhou Zishu feels that he might not be able to stand it for the second time.

"How is his condition?" Zhou Zishu asks after making up his mind.

"Severe." Wu Xi, a man with few words, answers bluntly. When he sees the already paled face to go even paler, Wu Xi realized that he may have spoken too little. "I have connected some of the vital meridians so he's improving."

"I have to trouble the Shamanet for such difficult task. If there is anything you need, don't hesitate to call for me." Zhou Zishu is genuinely grateful for the Shamanet's presence at this moment. Otherwise ... he doesn't dare to imagine what would have happened.

"It's no trouble, however, Master Zhou ... I may be able to save his life but ..." Wu Xi sadly informs yet didn't get to finish what he meant to say.

"Don't worry Shamanet ... no matter the outcome, I'll accept it." Zhou Zishu expresses his resolution on the point that Wu Xi is worried about.

Sitting outside of the isolation zone ... but his sight never left such area. In case the Shamanet may need his assistance. But Zhou Zishu is more anticipated to see Wen Kexing walking out leisurely with his fan in hand and calling 'Ah-Xu".

The first time Zhou Zishu heard Wen Kexing called him ah-Xu, to be honest, he was really annoyed! How dare someone that they just met for few days called him so affectionately. But as he listened to this every day, he gradually got used to it. Not long after, he actually liked being called like this because there would always be a hint of playfulness evident in Wen Kexing's tone.

'I'll do anything ... anything to hear him call me ah-Xu again.' Zhou Zishu speaks in his heart because he doesn't who he should be saying this to.

After sitting there for a shichen, Zhou Zishu decides to call over Chengling who was initially listening to stories from Qi Ye. Being unable to see Wen Kexing's face during this period of time made Zhou Zishu felt like it was as long as 2 lifetimes. He feels that he needs some distraction, at the same time not too distracted. As a result, he will watch Chengling practicing his martial arts. Moreover, he hasn't seen this disciple of his for many days, checking on the young disciple's progress in an appropriate thing to do.

While Chengling obediently practice the moves that he had learned, Zhou Zishu's mind wanders elsewhere.

'Lao-Wen lost all his inner energy ... his martial arts are most likely lost as well.' With such thought, Zhou Zishu's face instantly change to a frown.

This absentminded action has caused the young Chengling to panic. He thought that the frown was due to him and caused the originally correct steps to derail from its track. Fortunately, Zhou Zishu is still lost in his thought and didn't notice this ... for the moment.

(A/N: Poor Chengling)

'When lao-Wen wakes up ... I'll help him build up his inner energy and restore his martial arts again. Yes, that's right ...' Zhou Zishu plans for the future activity when his soulmate is back with good health. 'Lao-Wen ... hurry and wake up.'

After 7 days and 7 nights, Wu Xi steps out from the isolation zone and leaves it open. When Zhou Zishu sees Wen Kexing lying still, he couldn't help himself think of the time that the Ghost Valley Master was declared dead.

"He is back." Qi Ye softly speaks from the side as if he could feel Zhou Zishu's fear.

This simple sentence becomes the driving force for Zhou Zishu to finally approach. With trembling hand, he reaches to carefully touch Wen Kexing's face ... to feel that there is warmth. Unlike the ice-cold feeling like before ... now there is warmth.

"Thank you." Zhou Zishu chokes as indescribable feeling filled his heart.
