Chapter 15

Neito's POV

I can't believe I'll have to wear this... Unless if the rest of class-1A will be there. It'd be an amazing way to show off! Wait a minute. Dang it, Mom!

(I'm just gonna pause that for a sec and explain how Hoseki's quirk works. Basically, if she touches someone, she can read their mind. But it doesn't have to be thoughts that are currently going through their head.
And Okane's quirk is called 'Carbon Copy'. It allows him to copy someone completely, physique and all, by their blood. *Cough, cough*
Neito got the touch part and half of the copy part, and Ochaho can read minds but has to get their blood first. Also, it only works for thoughts before or at the time the blood was taken.
Now back to Neito.)

Why does Mom even keep doing that like I'm a baby... I then took the larger suit and started to take off my clothes. (Please tell me it's just me but that sounds so wrong)

Ochaho's POV

Early this morning, Tensei called me and asked if I could wake up my parents. He also mentioned that Auntie Eleven wanted us to come over to discuss something. After an hour of getting ready, and another half hour of driving, she told me to 'Go help Tensei or something, just stay out of the living room and kitchen.'
I went to his room and we just talked for an hour. And despite the 10-year age gap, we get along quite well. Albeit he isn't my first choice, he's not my last.

"How have you and Fuyumi been?"
"Oh, we're fine. But I think it's starting to get a little awkward..."
"ಠ_ಠ"
"Okay fine. It's more than a little..."
"GAAYY-" I then took a pillow off his bed and smacked his face with it.
We then stared at each other for a couple of seconds until he declared war, snatched another pillow off his bed, and we started hitting each other with them.

After a bit of throwing pillows at each other, we accidentally knocked over a lamp.

Really hard.

Right in front of a window.

Not my proudest moment, but it was fun while it lasted. If it wasn't implied enough, we broke the window like children and the lamp broke with it.
Auntie Eleven burst through the door, probably thinking that someone broke in, and after seeing what happened, walked up to Tensei and held her hand out. Tensei proceeded to place a card in her hand and then she chopped him on the head. And proceeded to chop me on the head. Just as she was leaving, she turned towards us.
"Tensei, no more allowance for three weeks. Maybe it'll be enough to pay for the window... As for Ochaho, Okane just might ground you. But if not, I want both of you to pick up the glass shards. We can't have both of you in wheelchairs..."
"Yes, Mother!"
"Sorry, Mrs. Eleven..." She then walked out and closed the door.

We started carefully picking up the larger glass shards, but for the smaller bits, I went to go get a dustpan. When I stepped out though, I heard our parents arguing about something. Since it was a concerning topic, according to our family's history anyway, I just grabbed the dustpan from the other side of the room and walked back into Tensei's.

"I hear that Mom and Dad are being loud."
"They're thinking about trying to get Neito and Tenya married someday, and Auntie Eleven keeps saying that it would almost guarantee an heir for both families..."
"That is if they hit it off, you know Tenya.
And what happened the last couple times someone in our families tried to marry each other."
"Mhm, " I hummed as I started sweeping. "Our great grandfathers' siblings tried getting married and then they both died before the wedding was even properly arranged..."
"And how their great uncles tried proposing and then got mauled by bears."
"And the forest caught fire."
"Right, right..."
"So..."
"Mhm..?"
"Wanna bet on what kills them?"
"E m b a r r a s s m e n t," Tensei remarked.
"N o."
"How about... they get struck down by a falling..."
"Ice cream truck."
"Yes, but also no..."
"Fine. 20 for a falling plane."
"Alright then. 30 for a tsunami. Wait- wasn't the falling plane my idea..?"
"Shush."
