Ana's POV
I remember the day I first saw that blonde hair blue eyed boy. My best friend Michael had forgotten his guitar in the music room and practically begged me to go get it as he was already giving me a ride to school after practice. I looked horrible with my tank top and shorts from soccer practice so I was mortified when I noticed the cute boy who was playing piano and it was pretty good. I was not in the mood to introduce myself because I looked like a hot mess, plus I saw another girl with short pink hair that seemed to keep him company. I snuck in and got Michael's guitar as fast as I could so not ot disturbe them. I listened for voices but, all I heard was a small and playful slap and the girl said his name outloud before I left. I had now matched a name with a face. He was Luke Hemmings, the guy that all the girls at school seemed to want because not only was he good looking, but people said that he had the chance of getting signed with a record label pretty soon. I could tell why by just the little snippet I heard him play. I took a deep breath before I walked over to my best friend Michael's car with my soccer buddy Calum. "What's up with you? You look like you've seen a ghost." Mchael questioned. "Or a cute guy." Calum teased. "Shut up guys." i blushed and turned up the radio. Michael and Cal have been my friends for a decade. They were like the brothers I had always wanted but never had. My whole life I was surrounded by girls, except my Dad, until I met those two. Calum and I met through our joined love of soccer. We would always challenge each other at being the best until we had to go on seperate boys and girls teams. We also gave each other a run for our money at FIFA on the playstation. I met Michael when I had shown up to Calum's house for a FIFA match. They were both playing guitar and were fairly good. I knew Calum had always had a thing for music and that soccer was just something he could go to school for so I was not surprised when he started playing music with Michael. I got along with Michael because he was a gamer and liked playing FIFA with Calum and I. As luck would have it my freshman, sophomore, and junior year if I didn't have class with Calum, I had class with Michael and vis versa. However, this year was just a bit different as I was going to be taking Calculus alone since Michael had failed PreCalculus and Calum barely understood what was going on in general math half of the time. Michael dropped me and Cal off at the locker room's and i showered and dressed for the day. I stepped out of the locker room before my morning class dressed in jeans and my favorite Blink-182 shirt Michael bought me for my birthday a few years ago. I went over to my locker which was right next to Michael's. "Ayeee Mikey! Ready for the first day of class?" I joked as I knew what his feelings were towards school. "Shut up Ana! I'm not a nerd like you who likes school. Nice shirt by the way." I shrug my shoulders and looked at the piece of paper that he had in his hand. "Thanks I got it for my birthday from my lame ass friend. What's you first class today by the way?" I joked the first part then asked him about his schedule out of pure curiousity. "English," he sighs, "You?" I looked down at my schedule as I saw my first class was Calculus. "Calculus." I shrugged my shoulders. "Ooo go have fun and don't be late my little math geek." I fipped him off before I started walking towards Mrs. Hemmings class. It sucked that I was already going to start off the day without my two best friends and soccer teammates because let's face it I was the only one who was good at math on that team. I took a seat near the front because it would give me a chance to be distracted from the fact that I had no one to talk to. As I took out a paper and pencil I saw a familiar face walk-in, it was Luke, he was in this class.Sam's POV
Luke and I sat in the music room together testing out some new tunes he had written over the summer. "That camp was awesome and the agent said he'd call me once I had a demo album out!" Luke was so excited. Music was his life and I was here to support him. "That's awesome. Let's hear what you got!" He began playing a slow melodic tune out on the piano. I listened and nodded along with the slow beat. "Will you sing it?" I looked at him astonished. "Luke you know I can't..." He rolled his eyes. "Yes you can. You're good you know, it was worth a try." I had intense stage fright and could barely sing in front of my family. Luke had heard me in the car and once when I thought I was alone in the music room with my violin. "Come on sing your own song." He laughed and shook his head. Just as he was about to begin the door opend. He continued playing but didn't open his mouth. His lyrics were precious and he didn't show anyone but me. Perks of being the best friend. Luke and I have lived next door to each other for about 13 years now. We met when his remote controlled helicopter flew into my tree fort during my morning tea party. I remember claiming the toy and telling Luke that no boys were allowed in my magic tree house. He in turn told me magic wasnt real and called me a liar. I cried and he, like any five year old boy panicked. Luke felt bad so he picked me a daisy and sang me "You Are My Sushine." That was my favorite song so I let him come up in my fort and gave him his helicopter back. We have been best friends ever since. It also helped that his older brother was SUPER cute. I turned and noticed a girl with long black hair and a practice uniform on. "Why is there a jock in the music room?" I grumbled under my breath. Sports pissed me off. She kept her head down as she walked. Luke looked over his shoulder. "I don't know but she's kinda hot if you ask me." He waggle his eye brows. I laughed and playfully slapped his arm. "Luke!" I turned around and the girl was gone. "You know... I think that's one of Michael's friends. Yeah she's the one who plays soccer with the other boy he hangs out with." Luke elbowed me and I broke out of my own head. "You're such a bad ass until Clifford is concerned. Why don't you talk to him." I felt myself blush. "No. He'd never like me my hair is too short and I'm weird." He laughed and gave me a side hug. "He is just as weird Sam. He'd love you I just know it." I laughed and shrugged him off. He began playing again and this time was able to start singing the lyrics. It was a beautiful song and I told him so. We packed up his stuff and started to head out to the school. "What's your first class." I asked him respiking my hair in the reflection of the window. "Calculus... with my mother..." I laughed and poked his side causing him to giggle and cringe. "Math nerd." He pushed me and I pushed back. "So you didn't think that girl earlier was pretty?" He asked me before we split off. "I don't know man I didn't see her face. All I know is she is sports and we are not. It doesn't typically work that way. You know unless your Luke Hemmings with a record deal omg!" I mocked the majority of the female population here. "Shut up! Oh well wish me luck.." I laughed his mom was the teacher and he was NOT excited. "Luck!" I walked away and toward my English class. As I entered I almost walked right out. I was late as usual and the only open seat was in front of none other than Michale Clifford. "Fantastic." I grumbbled and took my seat.
