Ana's POV

I stretched out my arms and legs to start to warm up for the upcoming soccer practice. I had grabbed my phone and stuck my headphones in my ears. I had an hour to warm myself up while most of the other girls went to tutoring. I blasted my volume up as one of my favorite One Direction songs popped up on my phone. I started my run and let my thoughts run through my mind. I had no idea why I couldn't get Luke out of my head. I kept picturing him with Sam and it really hurt so I would pick up my pace until I wore myself out then decided to lay on the track. I kept my headphones in and stared at the clouds. I heard a familar tune playing and smiled. It was one of my favorite songs called Always by Blink-182 I bit my lip then sang out, "Come on let me hold you, touch you, feel you, Always, Kiss you, taste you all night Always!" I frowned as I thought about Luke. It was like battle that I was constantly fighting with myself, "But the heart wants what it wants I suppose." I thought to myself then saw Calum walk out of the locker room to get him warm up started. "BEST FRIEND CALUM HOOD!" I yelled at him and he smiled widely as he yelled, "BEST FRIEND ANA MORGAN!" I giggled and grabbed a soccer ball to kick at him. He passed it back to me then started his run while I went to put my Phone in our stadium's speakers. That was one of the perks of being captain if my music wasn't playing then it was Calum's which was pretty much what I listened to. I put on my playlist and saw Green Day's American Idiot then touched the screen to play it. By then Calum finished warming up so I ran over to him then we started passing the ball around. "So I see that you are taking this whole Hemmings having a girlfriend situation pretty well." He mentioned and I shrugged my shoulders. "I mean I guess so...." I could hear my voice crack as I almost started crying. "Aww Ana don't cry." He said sincerely pulling me into a hug and I wipe my almost tears away from my eyes. "I just really kind of like him, you know?" I told him and he nodded his head. "Yeah I know. Now imagine that ball is his face and kick it hard because he's an idiot for not dating you." I looked at the ball, but I couldn't picture his face because I knew that I wouldn't have been able to kick it, so I just kicked it out of frustration. "YEAH!" He cheered me on then I heard our respective coaches whistle as we left each other's side to go to our practices. "YEAH GO ANA AND CALUM!" I heard Michael cheer and gave him a wave. After practice I waited in the car alone as Calum was being a diva and decided to take a long shower. Michael walked off to only God knows where after he opened the car for me so I decided to hop in the passenger's side with the windows down and jam out to my music in my library. I scrolled up and down as I tried to decide what song I felt in the mood to listen to until I finally decided on All Time Low's Remembering Sunday. I layed back in the seat of Mikey's car in peace until I heard a someone's voice that I was not expecting. "Blink, Green Day and ATL.You have excellent taste in music." Luke told me. I sit up and look at him. "Thanks, their music is like perfect for anytime I guess." I shrug my shoulders. He stood and leaned next to my window. "Do you listen to them often?" I nod my head. "Yeah at least a couple of time a day. I love bands or just music in general. I'll let you in on a secret. One of an athlete's best friends is their workout playlist so we listen to music quite often." I give him a cheeky smile. "So maybe we're not so different." I let out a laugh. "I could've told you that, but then again I'm not one of those people that thinks we have 'cliques.' I personally do not like high school people which is why I stick to Calum and Michael." I point out. He looks nervously at me as he asks me, "What about me?" I shrug. "I dont't know you very well." I looked at him in the reflection of the mirror. "That's simple to change." I was about to repond when Calum walked up. "Hey Anna. Hemmings." Cal nodded in greeting. Luke nodded back. "I'll see you in class Anna." I watched Luke walk away hands in his pockets. Suddenly there was Sam. She took his hands glanced back and they walked around the corner.

Sam's POV

"So do either of you too want to explain what is going on?" Luke's mama eyed our interlcoked fingers. We had decided she wouldn't aprove our evil plan and decided to just roll with it. "We already spent all our time together. I guess I fell for my best friend." Luke played the part well and I bit my lip to keep from laughing. "He's just so sweet and handsome. I couldn't refuse." I played my part leaning into my faux boyfriend. her eyes softened. "I guess I should've seen this coming. I hope you know sleeping over is a no-no from now on." her gaze hardened and Luke stiffened. "Don't even worry about that Liz you know I would never disrespect myself or Luke that way." She smiled gently and nodded. Mom on board: check. We played our parts and held hands and snuggled and did all the cutesy things couples did short of kissing. That is where I draw the line. I would not now, nor will I EVER kiss Lucas Robert Hemmings. The school day ended and i was surprised when Luke said he didnt want to play music today. "I think I'm going to take a walk." Luke walked away toward the alley way. I sighed and walked into the music room. I could here guitar coming from one of the practice rooms and a gruff but melodic voice sang the lyrics to my favorite Mayday Parade song. You Be The Anchor rang through the door. I peeked in through the little window and almost peed. Michael Clifford could sing? Since when? I ducked quickly and slipped into the practice room next door. My voilin case hung from my shoulder and I played with the strap. I could still hear Michael through the wall. I shut the door and pulled out my baby. I plucked the strings tuning my instrument quickly and prepped the bow. I waited for a specific spot in the song and played the haunting melody. I could hear the guitar falter but just for moment before he began playing louder. Our instruments matched swirling together in a sad melenchohly dance. When it was over I heard the next door open. I froze not sure what to do. Michael Clifford walked into the small room his green eyes locked on my own. "Beautiful. The music I mean." I blush but quickly recover. "It's my favorite song." He smiled and nodded. "So where is your boyfriend." My stomache knotted. "Oh he's around. Said he needed to think." I said but immediatly regretted it. "Trouble in paradise aye?" he questioned moving closer. I let him. Hey Luke and I were only pretetend dating. I was forrreal single. "Um no not at all. He's just moddy I guess." And that was the truth Luke Hemmings suffered from a serious case of boy PMS. He chuckled moving closer still. this time I skirted around him. I placed my voilin in it's case. "I just rememebered I have to be somewhere." I slung my violin over my shoulder. "Wait Sam!" I paused turning slowly. Michael stood directly in front of me. I was so shrort I had to look up to see him correctly. "Tell Luke he is a very lucky guy." Michael brushed past me and re-entered his practice room. I quickly ran out the door. I spotted Luke leaning against Michael's car. Shit Hemmings you puss. I saw Calum walk up and Luke says something then begins to walk away. I rush toward him and take his hand in my own. I look back and Anna gives me a look. I feel a pang of guilt. I suddenly have a feeling this plan was a bad idea. "I think this was a bad idea." He whispers to me. I look back and Calum has Anna in a tight embrace her arms wrapped tightly around him. "We can stop, but that wont." Luke looked back and squeezed my hand. "Maybe he deserves her more than I do." I pull him around the corner. "No one deserves her moer than you!" we will win this! I dont know why, but I pull him close to me in a tight hug. "I love you Hemmings and you are getting the girl of your dreams if it is the last thing I do." I feel him embrace me tightly. I just wish we had done this differently.
