The team never did get to hang out with Hinata that afternoon, nor did they get to see his tattoo. That wasn't the main concern though. School had just ended, and the energetic little ginger was nowhere to be seen.

After some debating and begging, the coach finally gave them Hinata's address so they could check on him. They were too overwhelmed with concern to practice that afternoon anyway.

"How much further?~" Whined Nishinoya, leaning against Tanaka, who was also complaining. "I have no idea. I can't believe he travels this far to school every day!" Sugawara slapped his cheeks to keep himself from complaining about the ache in his legs.

"Hey, look," Tsukishima said as he pointed to something on the sidewalk. The team made their way to it and noticed it was chalk. Two poorly drawn stick figures holding hands. One said 'Onii-Chan', while the other said 'Natsu'.

"We must be close then. I'm sure it's on the other side of this hill," Daichi muttered to himself, continuing the trek to the Hinata household.

-----

Another ten minutes and they had made it. "He lives here!? It's basically a fucking mansion!" Tanaka spewed, staring at the three-story home with wide eyes. "Next, we're gonna find out that he's a species of some rare cat family! I'm fucking done!" Kageyama groaned, facepalming.

"Enough, you two! Let's go!" As they made their way up the steps of the porch, they noticed a package sitting beside the door and picked it u, figuring they could give it to Hinata once he let them in. Yamaguchi knocked.

"Hinata, it's us. Can we come in?" There was no response, which fulled their growing anxiety. "Hinata?" Sugawara placed his hand on the doorknob and turned it. "It's unlocked..." Hesitantly, they made their way inside the home.

It smelled like Hinata. A soft, warm smell they couldn't quite place. It was a sweet, flowery smell. They removed their shoes and placed the package onto the coach once they entered the living room. "The lights are on. Maybe he's upstairs?"

"This is trespassing," Tsukishima suddenly spoke, startling over half of the club members.

"We-We know that! But this is Hinata we're talking about! Something must've happened. He hasn't answered any of our text messages or calls, and he didn't even come to school! That's not like that dumbass!" Kageyama stated, turning his head away from everyone as if he was going to cry.

Hey, I think I found his room," Kinoshita, who had walked ahead of everyone, voiced, pointing to a decorated door. Upon closer inspection, they found that the door had Hinata's name on it with bright orange flower stickers around it.

"Then this one must be his sisters," Ennoshita said, pointing to the room opposite of it with a name tag that said 'Natsu' on it with pink flower stickers around it. "Should we knock, or..."

Though they did knock, nothing was heard, so they opened the door. "His rooms huge!" Nishinoya exclaimed, running and faceplanting into the bed. It was so... Hinata. Posters of random cartoons and animes hung on his wall, along with a bunch of photos of him and Natsu.

"Look." Daichi pulled Nishinoya off the bed and pointed to one of the photos, then to another. "They're marked out again..." There were a lot of stuffed animals piled around, and Tsukishima had the urge to make fun of the little ginger for it, had he not found it so cute.

But no Hinata. "Guys, I think I might have an idea of where he's at," Tsukishima turned his gaze to the room across from Hinata's.

Natsu's room.

Gulping, Kageyama was the one to take the lead and knock on it. There was rustling. "I-I think he's in there..." He muttered, taking hold of the knob and twisting it. Then he stopped. Sobs resonated through the room as footsteps were heard.

The door was ripped out of Kageyama's grip as a sobbing ginger came into view. He was a mess, and he looked as if he hadn't slept in days. His face was completely flushed due to his still-high fever.

Once he realized it wasn't his little sister, he sank to the ground and curled in on himself. Not being able to take the sight in, Kageyama fell to his knees and pulled Hinata into his chest, his eyes welling up with tears.

Everyone else could only watch from a distance, their hands over their mouths or fiddling with their shirts. The ginger struggled against Kageyama's tight grip but gave in when his body began giving up on him. He could only desperately cling to Kageyama's shirt as a last resort.

"N-Natsu!" He cried, resting his chin on the raven head's shoulder. "I-I want Natsu back!" Kageyama could only mutter apologizes to him until his sobs of desperation turned into sniffles, and soon, he fell asleep, or rather, his body crashed.

"I'm so sorry, Hinata," Kageyama muttered, lifting him off of the floor and walking slowly to the opposite room. Not knowing what to do or say, the rest of the team could only move out of his way.

He placed Hinata onto his bed and was about to cover him with the blanket, but dropped it and gasped. "H-He's bleeding!" Quick to react, Sugawara ran over and took a closer look. Hinata's elbows, knees, legs, arms, nearly everything was covered in scratches, dirt, and blood.

"Did he fall!? How'd we just notice this!?" One particular wound on Hinata's leg was bleeding excessively, so Sugawara pulled his jacket off and tied it around the wound. "First aid! Get a first aid kit or something!" He desperately shouted.

Had they been so caught up with Hinata's broken expression that they didn't even notice all of his wounds until just now? Tsukishima left to the bathroom they had passed in order to get some medical supplies, while Daichi and Sugawara went to the kitchen to get some water.

"Where's the kitchen even at?" The silver-haired male questioned, eager to return to Hinata's side. "It should be downstairs. If not, we'll check the-" The brown-haired male froze in his spot, staring wide-eyed at the scene before him.

"Why'd you-" A gasp passed his lips as he stood beside Daichi. The kitchen was absolutely destroyed. Food seemed to have been thrown in a frenzy of some sort, which meant this had happened at dinner time.

Dishes were shattered, along with the front of the oven. The fridge doors and cupboards were pulled off and broken to pieces, with only a few hanging onto their hinges. Drawers had been pulled out, with their contents all over the floor and cabinets.

In conclusion, it looked as if a tornado had ransacked the place. "What happened here?" Daichi incredulously murmured to himself, even though he didn't have an answer.

After going to get their shoes from the front door, they were able to walk over the glass and miscellaneous things but remained vigilant. "Blood..." Sugawara noted as they made it further into the kitchen, pointing to a shattered mirror splattered with red.

They followed the trail with their eyes and tried to make the story of what happened up in their heads.

Someone must've punched the mirror, turned at a fast pace, which is why it's splattered on the walls, then stood there because the trail doesn't go any further than that. Daichi concluded, walking to the mirror with saddened eyes.

Seeming to catch what he was thinking, Sugawara also had the same look on his face. "Hinata, are you okay?" Hinata wasn't there with them, but they knew this was his doings.

-----

"Where's the water? Tsukishima found a bottle of peroxide in the bathroom, so we were- What's with those looks?" Ennoshita questioned the third years, drawing everyone else's attention to them. "Something is going on with Hinata. I think he needs professional help."

Tsukishima stepped forward, crossing his arms. "What do you mean 'professional help'?"

A/n: I may have to change the description of this story if I keep heading down this route of angst 👀 Not to fear! I'll get everything sorted out, and Hina-Chan will be happy once more and meet the rest of his soon-to-be harem! I love you all so so much! Stay warm, and stay healthy! ❤
