Chapter 3: Introductions

I walked in the classroom with a huge grin on my face. I spotted Dante flirting with a bunch of girls in the back of class. And of course they all looked at him with googly eyes and flirtatious smiles. I walked straight up to them. I grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. I still had my grip on him when we reached the front of the classroom. Everyone quieted as I whispered with Mr. Hensworth. He nodded at my suggestion and I got on with it.

"Everybody, I would like to introduce to you are new student Dante. I'm his guide in Blake High and I will be taking care of him." I glanced sideways at him; he looked pissed. I reached out and grabbed his cheek, like a mother would do to show off her child. "Please welcome Dante as one of our own." I grinned when I caught Megan's eye. I patted Dante on the shoulder and nodded to Mr. Hensworth notifying my speech was over.

I hi-fived Megan as I took my seat by her. Mr. Hensworth was launching into History when my phone buzzed.

LIAM: I MISS YOU SO MUCH, BABE. WHEN CAN I SEE YOU?

I smiled at the text message. Okay, so Megan was not my only friend at Blake High. I also had Liam. I met Liam two weeks ago, while Mum and I were at the park with Aria and her boyfriend. They were talking about something I felt was stupid. I walked off. I climbed up one of the trees when I saw him. "Why are you up here," I asked curiously.

He smiled shyly. "I could ask you the same thing."

I shrugged and we sat there in silence until I heard Mum calling my name. I leaned in and kissed him on the cheek before jumping and landing perfectly on the soft grass. I grinned up at him and he smiled.

I told Mom about him later in the day. She said I couldn't have a relationship outside of Blake High. But, of course I didn't listen. I've seen Liam four times since then. But it's been a week since I saw him last. We still hadn't kissed yet. I did not know what he was waiting for. He said he was transferring schools, so he couldn't see me for a while.

I sent him a message:

I KNOW LIAM. I MISS YOU TOO, WHERE ARE YOU RIGHT NOW?

I waited for his reply, but it didn't come. Then, the bell rang. Megan looked at me curiously. "What," I asked.

She shrugged, not saying whatever was on her mind. "Time for round two," I said pleasantly.
