Paradise Panic (a BFB au)

1) Recollection

Flower's POV

"Flower, wake up! Hurry! The cruise ship is arriving!"

I woke up, giggling as Ruby was shaking me gently, her grin enough to get me energized. "I'm up, Ruby..!" I got myself out of bed, getting my suitcases and wrapping my scarf around my neck.
Today was an exciting day, as one could tell by what Ruby said. As the fourth season was over now, I had recommended the group an idea to go on a cruise ship, and all were compliant! This was going to be a time to kick back and relax even more.

I watched as my friends got out of their homes, dragging their luggage behind them. We all had our tickets and were confident in our choice; the ship had successfully done its job many times before, so nothing could possibly go wrong!

Inside the ship, we all set down our stuff in our selected rooms, finally deciding to take a walk around. We met each other again at the dining area, getting dessert first.
"This was a great idea, Flower!" Gelatin smiled as he hopped in his chair next to me. He looked at Lollipop on his other side, as if prompting her to add on. "Gelatin is correct, if I'm being honest myself." She gave a small grin, fiddling with her new bandana a little bit.
"He is! Flower does a great job at planning stuff!" Ruby boasted selflessly as she pat my shoulder. We all giggled a bit, and continued our conversation as our dessert was served. What would we do today? Would we make a new friend, maybe a friendly rivalry? The possibilities were endless!

All of the chatter was stopped at the sound of the siren.

"Flower, wake up!"
"Gah!"

I gasped for breath as I bolted awake, feeling cold water drip down my entire body. What happened? I turned to look at who was with me: Lollipop. She had a crack on her head, as well as some scratches, two of them covering her left eye. "What happened to you..?" I tried to reach out, but could only feel a stinging pain.
"Calm down, you're tired.." She rubbed my back and helped me lean against a rock.

"The ship sunk, you were unconscious the whole time."

"Wha..? Why...?" I rubbed my face, then my petals, feeling a large rip. I would have screamed if I had enough energy.
"I don't know, but there was so much panic that no one even found out... Everyone was scattering. One of the people even punched you in the face, which is why you were passed out." Lollipop seemed to gaze off into the distance, her once calming eyes now filled with fear and worry. "You were the only one of our group I found, since I tripped over your body.."
I sighed, the pain in my body starting to fade away. "So... How did you get those scratches..? Did someone from the ship do that..?"
She stared off again, holding her breath slightly. "No."
"What?"

"I got these when I was bringing you here. A weird thing just ran at me," She motioned to the scratches, "and swiped at my face. They didn't use any claws, though... It was more of a rake.." She forced her wounded eye open by lifting her eyelid, revealing it was dull and lifeless, a scar across its surface.
"It definitely got you..." I sighed as she closed it again, adjusting my scarf. Everything felt calm for a few seconds. She stood up, holding out her hand for me to grab.

"Now, let's go find the others."
