Lollipop's POV

Today was... Interesting, to say the least. Today's roll call was two people short, so we had to send Taco and Woody out on a search mission. Teardop was recovering, albeit slowly, and was constantly scrawling blindly on the floor with odd scribbles. While Gelatin was busy comforting his previous ally, Ruby and I went to comfort Flower.
She seemed to be out of focus, a calm stream of tears flowing down her face. She immediately jumped when I rested a hand on her shoulder. "L-lollipop!" She quickly wiped her tears, then got interrupted by Ruby hugging her gently by the stem.

"What's wrong, Flower? I mean, besides the roll call..." I rubbed the back of my head, still with my hand gently caressing the top of Flower's petals. She let out a shaky sigh as she adjusted her scarf and used it to dry the rest of her tears. "It's just, everything is so much more... dangerous now... Any one of us could die, and..." Her voice became shaky before breaking into a soft sob. "A-and none of the hosts, or recovery centers, or..."
Flower stopped talking suddenly, her soft sobs morphing into frightened wails. I immediately reached out my hands and embraced her, then turned her face to lock eyes.

From focusing so much on BFB, I never got to truly look at anyone before.

Flower's eyes were a gorgeous contrast with her bright yellow face, being a dark amethyst in color. Her soft magenta petals only added to the gracious palette of hues. Her soil-brown scarf added a neutral balance, with her stem being a soft, almost minty green. Her limbs were dark, smooth, and elegant, with only recent scratches from the island's terrain.
She really was beautiful.

"Pop-Pop? You okay?" I glanced over. Flower was asleep, resting her face on my open palm. "It's been a few minutes.." Ruby was still there, hugging Flower's stem, giving me a soft but worried smile.
"Oh, I'm... fine..." I sighed a bit, slowly drooping Flower down to relax on the soft grass. "It's just, with everything going on," I gently wiped away Flower's remaining tears as I spoke to Ruby, not caring about the pollen sticking to my fingers; "I just want to make sure everyone is safe. Especially you, Gelatin, and Flower."

"Not even yourself?" Ruby's voice turned soft and quiet as she scooted over next to me. "I care about all of us too. Maybe we can all protect each other! The ultimate alliance!" I smiled, staring off into the starry sky. "Yeah, the ultimate alliance." I looked around, seeing everyone asleep, then to my side. Ruby was asleep now too, resting against my side. I lied down next to her and Flower before drifting off to sleep.
