Spongey's POV

"So, what did you want to talk about, Loser?"
The two of us were walking along the forest. I couldn't help but feel the wind blow peacefully through the many pores of my body as I listened to Loser's reply. "I have something important to say, but you're the only one I seem to trust." We reached a peaceful section of the forest, covered in a wide array of leaves and sticks. "You can sit wherever you want."

I carefully sat down, making sure not to injure myself from the sticks threatening to poke into me. Loser sat across from me, creating a small fire with two sticks. "Remember last dinner, where the coconut was a guest?" I nodded, remembering the moment vividly. "Yes, there was a coconut. What about him?" Loser sighed, clearing his throat.
"He has... not friendly motives." He motioned around. "This island, according to him, is a private home, and we're just trespassers."

"So, do we have to-" Loser but a hand to my mouth, shushing me. "I need you to keep a secret, Spongey." I was shocked at first; did Loser really trust me, of all people, with a secret? I felt a sense of pride yet fear rise inside of myself. "I... I can keep it," my voice felt more raspy from trying to keep my volume lower.
"Coconut and I... have an alliance."

I had no words as I tried to process everything. What kind of alliance was this? Was it leaning towards our freedom, or Coconut's desire? Were we going to be safe with this alliance? I had too many questions to ask.
     "Loser..?" "Yes, Spongy?"

"How does this alliance... work?" I backed up, ignoring the sudden pain of sticks poking onto my back. Loser replied in a soft voice: "The two of us will work together. I keep everyone organized, and distracted. Coconut will take each person from the group, and... kill them, one by one, until it's just me and him." I stuttered for a second, finally grasping the concept.
"Wait, am I going to die too?" Loser shrugged with a sigh. "That's up for Coconut to decide, unfortunately." There was a sense of betrayal floating in the air. I wanted to warn everyone, to let them know what was going to happen, but...

It was a secret. Wasn't it?
