Loser's POV
There was a slight breeze as I slowly approached the cave. I knew something was off as Coconut wasn't outside as he usually was for these meetings. I peeked into the cave, my vision going past the table of object parts and focusing on the leaf bed. Coconut was there, facing away from the entrance. The fuzz on his shell was more frizzy than usual, and he seemed to be violently twirling a stick back and forth in his hand.
"So... did you do it?" His voice seemed a bit annoyed, as if he already knew the answer. "I.." The words couldn't come out of my mouth properly as I watched Coconut stand up and face me. "You didn't." He started towards me, dropping the stick and rubbing his face, more of the fuzz on his shell beginning to frizz up as he yelled.
"I told you what to do. If you stopped them, she could've died! The plan would be working!" I felt a cough in my throat before answering, my voice breaking more than usual as I scrambled for a lie. "Well, I.. I just did.. didn't want to!" Coconut's eyes widened slightly as he growled, his sharp teeth revealing themselves threateningly.
"We. had. an. ALLIANCE!"
He immediately punched the cave wall with his fist, earning a mutual silence. The only difference was the slight red stain on the scratchy gray surface. Coconut looked down at his now bleeding hand, then glanced over at me. "Go."
I slowly backed up, watching Coconut. He didn't say anything, or make any other advancements. He just silently stared, holding his wounded hand up to his face.
"I'm sorry." I sighed, leaving the cave without another word. The sky was a soft blue and the grass was a mint green, a welcoming contrast to the sudden atmosphere of the cave. I looked back before slowly venturing back to the camp.
