Fear surrounds me
Every time I think of the unknown
Constantly, I try to reassure myself that I'm ready
But the what-ifs hold me back
As my future looms in front of me,
I pause at the crossroads of life
I think about my past
Things I regret
Things I love
I think about the present
Where I am now
What I hope to do next
Life is unpredictable
Sometimes we think we know
But we can never be sure
That's what makes life worth living for
Taking a deep breath,
I look straight ahead
And take a step forward in the right direction
Ready to face the unknown
Ready to begin my future
