"You must not blame me if I do talk to the clouds." - Henry David ThoreauDo you remember that warm summer afternoon?
When we laid down on that grassy field by the ice cream parlour
Birds chirping
Kids running
Laughter filling our earsWhen it was just you and me
Just us, free
Our hands entwined
Our hearts beating as one
Our souls connectedWhen we stared at the clouds
White and puffy
Soaring across the sky
Drifting apart, distant
Playing hide and seek with the sunWhen our future was afar
With our dreams and goals
Surrounding us like the clouds in the bright, blue sky
As we looked forward to what tomorrow would bring
