-george pov-

after a more couple hours i was still playing minecraft with sapnap. we would spend hours a day playing. it never got boring for us. there was always something we could do or build in our world.

i then remembered the piece of paper clay had put into my pocket. i reached and grabbed it, then attempting to unravel it while still playing.

i took my hands off the keyboard as i continued to unwrap it. moments later i finally got it.

his phone number?

"why'd you go afk?" sapnap asked.

"uhm. one second"

i muted my myself on discord and pulled out my phone. i began typing in his number one by one.
once his number was typed out i decided to leave call with nick. seeing i wouldn't be playing for awhile.

"sapnap, i think i'm going to go for now"

"everything good?" he asked.

"yeah. we can join again later"

"okay bye!"

"bye"

i hung up from the call, now typing a message to clay. if he answered of course. which seeing he gave me his number, he probably would.

clay
hello?

it didn't take too long for him to answer. i waited a couple of minutes before getting a response.

who is this

george..

hey george ;)

shut up. why did you give me your number

shouldn't friends have each other's number?

we aren't even friends?

we sit together at lunch

i never talk to you. like i said, we aren't friends

that's rude

cry about it. why'd you give me your number

i wanted to know if you made up your mind yet

made my mind up about what

you know what

except i didn't. i started to become annoyed with clay. the only thing he was doing was being weird. ever since the party he's been weird. saying we're friends? the only time we ever talk to each other is when we're both around carter. that doesn't seem like a friend thing to do. only talking when you're around a specific person...

i traced back to all the things he has done in my head. where only one thing came into mind.

the bathroom incident... when he 'invited' me over to his house. except it couldn't be that. that was all because of the party. because of the dare.

if it's what i'm thinking it is then no

why not

we literally never talk to each other

what better time than to start now, right?
