Aang's POV

I woke up in a very dimly lit room as my head ached. I sat up on what I could assume was a bed as I held my head and put my feet on the ground. I then looked around to Fire Nation flags and decoration all over the room's walls. I quickly got up to fall flat on my face as my legs seemed to not work. I looked around to see my glider near the bed, so I grabbed it and used it to pick myself up. I limped out of the room into the walkways as the walls were made of metal. I made my way forward to stop when I saw two soldiers dressed in Fire Nation attire talking to each other around the corner to my right.

The two of them stopped walking to look around as one of them asked, "Did you hear something?" I came out from hiding to send a wave of air at them knocking them back. I quickly started somewhat running to hear them coming after me as I heard one of them say, "He's awake!" They started chasing me to say, "Hey wait!" I found stairs leading up to a hatch, so I made my way up to open the hatch and jump out to land on my stomach. My glider went a few feet in front of me. I reached for it to see a soldier on one knee as het pet Momo. I was so confused, "Momo?" Momo came towards me to land on my right shoulder as I heard Toph's voice, "Twinkle Toes! That's gotta be you!" I looked to my right to see Katara and Toph come towards me for Katara to say, "Aang you're awake!"

I looked at the men dressed as Fire Nation soldiers and my two friends, "Are you sure? I feel like I'm dreaming." Katara hugged me, "You're not dreaming. You're finally awake." She parted from the hug for a soldier to walk up to me, "Aang! Good to see you back with the living buddy." I squinted my eyes, "Sokka?" My head started to feel fuzzy for everything to all of a sudden go black as I hit the ground hard.

No One's POV

Everyone surrounded the now unconscious Aang for (Y/N) to come up from the hatch, "Hey Aang's not in his bed." He then looked down to see Aang, "Oh." Katara then looked at him as she had a sarcastic tone, "Great job watching him." (Y/N) crossed his arms at her, "Well the next time I have to use the bathroom I'll go in my pants." Sokka stepped in-between the two, "Come on guys. Aang just got up. Arguing will just stress him out." (Y/N) and Katara stared at each other in the eyes for (Y/N) to sigh as he walked up to Aang and kneeled next to him. He pulled out a little bit of flint to hold it next to Aang's ear. He then held the flint in his palm to make some fire creating a snapping noise.

The sound made Aang jolt up for him to look around once more as Sokka put a blanket over him. Aang looked at (Y/N), "(Y/N)?" (Y/N) bowed his head a little, "It is good to see you up and about once again Avatar." Aang looked around, "Where are we, why is everyone dressed up as Fire Nation, and why am I the only one out of the loop?" Everyone went back to working on the ship for (Y/N) and Katara to stay with Aang. Katara put her hand to shoulder length, "Take it easy Aang. You're hurt pretty bad."

Aang felt his chest where bandages wrapped around him making him remember what happened to him. Katara noticed this to try and cheer him up, "I like your hair." Aang felt his head, "I have hair? How long have I been out?" (Y/N) tilted his head a little, "I'd say a few weeks." Katara's father then walked up to them, "Everything okay?" Katara avoided eye contact, "We're fine dad." The father held his hand out to Aang, "I'm Hakoda. Katara and Sokka's father." Katara put her arm on Aang's shoulder, "I just called you dad. He already knows who you are." She then side eyed him for her father to look at her, "I guess you're right." Aang held his hand out, "It's nice to finally meet you sir." Hakoda shook the young boy's hand, "It's an honor to meet you."

Katara crossed her arms, "Great now you two have finally met, so would you mind giving us a little privacy." Hakoda walked away, "Of course." (Y/N) looked at Katara, "There are worse fathers out there you know." Katara side eyed him, "Why are you still here?" "You told me to stay with the Avatar." "Well he's up now, so you can leave." Both of their tones seemed cold towards each other, which Aang noticed for the boy to decide on focusing on one thing as he looked at Katara, "Are you mad at your father?" Katara looked confused, "What? No. Not at all. Why would you say that?" Aang raised an eyebrow for him to hold his stomach in pain making Katara concerned, "Maybe we should go downstairs." Aang nodded for (Y/N) to pick him up and take him to the room that he woke up in. Katara followed suite for (Y/N) to sit Aang down while Katara sat in front of Aang and look at (Y/N), "You can leave now." (Y/N) left for Katara to start healing Aang's back.
