"Babe?" I pulled her into my arms and she rested her head against my chest.
"Hmm?"
"Have I told you how breathtaking you look?"
I tilted my head in time to see her cheeks redden. My fingers unconsciously tensed, wanting to be on top of my camera's shutter button in that moment, taking a picture of her. The camera that was miles away, at home.
"Niall, I lost count how many times."
"Good. Then, I'll keep saying it so it's just like I'm saying it for the first time," I pressed my lips to her temple.
In the next moment, two children ran around her legs at the same time and I quickly grabbed her arms to steady her before she could stumble.
"Careful," I mumbled as the speaker stepped up and announced that the wedding ceremony was starting soon and that everyone should find their seats. She grabbed my hand and led me to one of the seats toward the front.
I huffed, "The front? Really?"
"Shush, you'll be fine." She took my hand and rested it on her knee. I squeezed.
Eventually everyone quieted down and the music slowly began to play as her friend slowly began making her way down the aisle. Sometime after her dad passed her off but between their exchanging of vows, my eyes drooped.
Next thing I know I was jolted awake by a hard pinch to my thigh.
She put her hand over my mouth before I could cry out.
"I can't believe you fell asleep at a wedding!" She hissed quietly.
I rubbed at my eyes and attempted to sit up straighter, "I didn't," I yawned.
"Yes, you did."
"Did not."
"You were snoring."
"Prove it," I crossed my arms.
"How could I-"
"Exactly, you can't. Because I didn't." I told her and she rolled her eyes, swatting me on the arm while trying her hardest to keep a serious face.
"Just shut up, you're embarrassing me."
"Embarrassing. You wanna know what's embarrassing? This dead wedding. Ours will be so much more fun."
"Ours?" She looked up at me with dreamy eyes.
I took her hand and kissed her knuckle, "Ours."
