Friday October 16
"Bubbs you need to hurry. We gotta met Dave in 10 minutes!" I yelled.
"Ma I'm putting on my shoes!" He yelled back to me. We were currently running late to meet Dave's mother.
"Okay I'm ready." He said coming down the stairs walkin past me to the garage. We both got in the car and got situated before I pulled off heading to the restaurant.
"Princess where you at?" Dave questioned as i answered the phone.
"I'm sorry." I whined. "I'm pullin in the parking lot right now."
I was lying I'm like seven minutes away but he doesn't know that.
"No your not but okay."
"Ughhh baby I'm sorry im going as fast as I can."
"Nah don't speed you'll get here when you do."
"Okay, i like you." I smiled even though he couldn't see me.
"I like you too." He replied ending the call.
Even though he said don't speed, I did. We made it there shortly after.
"Common bub." I said getting my things together and getting out the car. I grabbed his hand and walked into the building looking around for Dave when i spotted him sitting at the table.
"Oh my good, I'm so sorry I'm late." I pouted hugging dave.
"You good Princess."
"Hi I'm Jayda." I smiled holing my hand out for his mom to shake.
"Lisa." She smiled retiring the gesture. "Who is this handsome young man?" She asked look down at Jerimiah.
"Tell her you name bub." I said nudging his shoulder.
"Hey my name is Jerimiah and I'm eight."
"Well hello Jerimiah." She smiled.
"Why y'all still standing up? Sit down." Dave blurted out.
Me and Lisa both looked at him with them mom eyes.
"Oh yeah you in trouble." Bub said siting beside Dave leaving me to sit beside his mom.
"So how did y'all meet?" Lisa asked.
"Umm like 4-5 months ago we met in a airport for a flight to Costa Rica." I answered.
"Oh that's nice."
After some time we ordered food and continued conversations.
"Not to medal or anything, I'm just curious. Is Jerimiah's father not in his life?" Lisa asked. Which I didn't mind it was just very random.
"Ma." Dave mugged her.
"It's fine. He went missing a couple months ago, so to answer your question no he isn't." I replied.
"Mommy can we go to the park now?"
"After we leave okay?"
"Oh take him out. I've held y'all here long enough." Lisa said.
Dave paid the bill and we all headed out to our cars.
"It's was nice meeting yall today." Lisa smiled
"Nice meeting you too." I replied.
Dave walked Lisa to her car while I helped bubbs buckle up. I got in the front seat waiting for him to return.
"That's wasn't so bad was it." He said leaning in the car from my window.
"I guess not." I replied playfully rolling my eyes.
