Chapter Eight: The Emperor Scorpion Strikes Back

It was one early morning and Juno was staring at herself in a bathroom mirror. Her hair was ruffled and no doubt tangled as her eyes still looked tired. It was one of those rare mornings for her where she woke up a mess.

"Ugh, I look like crap." she said to her reflection.

"On the contrary, I think you still look beautiful." Chase told her as he appeared next to her in the mirror. "Your bedhead is adorable."

"If you're being sarcastic, I will kill you."

"You can try, but you won't be able to."

"I hate it when you're right." Juno huffed as he kissed her head. "This is mostly your fault, you know. You get so into it during sex that you just do as you please."

"Like you don't enjoy yourself. But I am happy to know that I'm the only one who can make the great, and beautiful, Xiaolin Dragon King look so disheveled."

"Shut up." she shoved him a bit. "I'm gonna take a shower, and no." she held up her hand when he opened his mouth to say something. "I do not feel like having shower sex right now."

"Very well, if you wish." Chase sighed, looking a bit disappointed.

"If you wanna do something, get breakfast started for me." Juno told him, taking off the robe she was wearing and throwing it at his face. "Having sex with you makes me hungry."

She went over to where the shower was and turned on the hot water, waiting for it to warm up before jumping in.

(Later)

"You know, I've been thinking about something." Juno said as a tiger set a plate of food in front of her at the dining table. "I've been coming over here so much these past few days, I think my monks are starting to get concerned that I might be conspiring with you on some evil plot or something. They probably think you finally won me over to the Heylin side." she started eating.

"You mean I haven't done that yet?" Chase questioned, taking a sip of his Lao Mang Lone soup as he sat next to her.

"Haha." she replied sarcastically. "Anyway, I think the next time I come over I'm gonna leave a toothbrush here, I can't keep going back to the temple with bad breath every morning."

"You could do that. Or, better yet, you can just live here. You did move in all those years ago and were still living here until the day you died. Why not move back in?"

"I have thought about it, but I have so much going on back at the temple with training the kids, hunting down Shen Gong Wu, stopping evil, etcetera. I just don't think it would really work out to commute back and forth from here and there. For now, I think I'll keep things as they are."
