Hello, everyone, and welcome to the last chapter of the Xiaolin Dragon King: First Arc. This takes place some time after the previous chapter with the monks trying to fix things between Juno and Chase while they are not on speaking terms. I want to thank you all for staying with my story to the very end and hope you enjoy this chapter. Disclaimer: I own nothing except my OOC.

Chapter Twenty-One: Never Want to Lose You

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(One day, at the Xiaolin Temple)

"I'm worried about Juno." Kimiko said to the other monks as they were outside. "She's been real down since she told Chase she didn't want to see him a few weeks ago. I know she needs time to think about everything that happened, but still."

"Yeah, it's hard seeing her like this." Clay agreed.

"I wish there was something we could do to help her, I hate seeing her so sad." the Japanese girl sighed.

"I do, too, Kimiko, but I'm not really sure how we can." Raimundo told her. "I mean, it's not like any of use can relate to what she's been through. Has anyone here been turned evil by their spouse?"

The others shook their heads.

"Well, we could at least try to cheer her up, even if it's just a little." Kimiko said.

"Allow me to take the task." Omi raised his hand. "I shall tell Master Juno a joke that will make her bust her stomach."

"Bust a gut." the Brazilian corrected.

"That, too."

(Later)

"Oh, Master Juno."

"What is it, Omi?" the redhead asked, not turning to face the short monk as she was practicing on a wooden training dummy while in the indoor training room.

"I just wanted to ask you, but have you gained weight?"

Juno came to a stop almost immediately. She slowly turned around and faced him. Omi froze when he saw the expression she now had on her face.

Outside the training room, where the other monks were standing, screaming and the sound of things crashing could be heard. A second later, a certain bald monk was sent flying out of the room, hitting the wall with a loud smack.

"That was your joke?" Raimundo asked Omi as he slid down from the wall to the floor.

"I did not have the chance to get to the punchline..." he replied, swirly-eyed as he was beaten and bruised.

"Let me try." Kimiko stepped up. "Some girl talk is what she might need." she went into the room. "Juno?"

"Are you here to ask if I've gained weight, too?" Juno looked at her with a warning glare.

"No, no, of course not." the shorter girl waved her hands in front of her. "I just wanna talk, that's all. You've just been real down lately and, well, me and the others are worried about you. We just want to know if you're okay, you know you can talk to us."
