Ready To Run - One DirectionARIANA
It was 6:00 in the morning on Thursday and me and Zayn were currently sitting on the plane waiting for it to take off.
"You nervous?" Zayn asked, looking over at me from his seat.
"About flying, no. About seeing my family.. a little," I admitted. I hadn't seen my family in almost 8 months and I missed them dearly, not being used to not having a little sister to tell at constantly, I really missed it was more than I thought I would when I initially made the decision to come to England.
"Don't be babe, they probably miss you just as much as you miss them," He reminded me.
"If you say so," I said skeptically, grabbing Zayn's hand as the plane prepared for take off, and I prepared to see my family who I'd been absolutely aching to see.
"Ready," Zayn looked over at me.
"Like I said," I started, taking a deep breath, "Nope."

The flight was long. Very, very, long. Even though it was a 9 hour and 30 minute flight, I still didn't feel ready to see my family when I'd gotten off the flight, and that was because, in the almost 10 hours we were on the plane, I'd had plenty of time to think. Plenty. Most of my thoughts were negative ones, going through all the scenarios that could possibly happen when we arrived, most of them I hoped wouldn't happen the way they did in my thoughts.
The first person I saw was my mom, and let me tell you how happy I was to see her standing with a big prominent smile etched on her face.
Next to her, my little sister Jade standing there staring timidly at Zayn and I, and next to her on the very end, my dad who I loved dearly. What can I say, I was always a big daddy's girl.
"Ari!" I heard my mother squeal as we walked up to her and she pulled me into one of the tightest hugs I'd ever been enveloped in.
"Mom sh!" I exclaimed, noticing that people had started glancing in our direction.
"Oh I'm sorry I'm just so excited," my mom said as she started getting emotional.
"Oh mom please don't cry, please," I begged, not exactly wanting to be embarrassed in front of Zayn and the rest of the airport.
"I'm sorry," my mom started, wiping off her eyes.
I sighed, "it's okay mom."
My mom suddenly gasped, finally looking behind me, "This must be the famous Zayn! Oh he's even cuter than he looks in the pictures," my mom tried to whisper, but ultimately failed, and everyone in the group had heard and I let out an embarrassed sigh. I could practically feel my dad rolling his eyes.
My thoughts were confirmed when I heard Jade say, "Stop rolling your eyes dad, he's kind of cute!"
"Ah," Zayn said, walking in front of me to kneel down in front of Jade who looked stricken to have Zayn this close to her, "You must be Jade. When me and Ariana went to go see my family, she met my little sister Safaa, who's twelve, and she wouldn't stop talking about you. Isn't that right Ariana?"
I nodded, embarrassed, and I was glaring at Zayn in my head.
"Yeah, I told her you two would definitely be friends," I coughed, trying to cover up my embarrassment that I could tell Zayn was so proud to be the cause of.
"Oh," Jade said, looking from me to Zayn, who was now getting up from he kneeling stance in front of Jade to stand next to me.
"Well, let's get back home, shall we? You two look like you've had a long flight." My mom said.
"Yes, please," I said, desperate to be anywhere but an airport, I just didn't like them to be honest.
"Okay," my mom said as she leaded us out of the building, and back to where they'd parked the car and I was so excited to be back in the house where I'd grew up.
