ARIANA

Being back at the house I grew up in was a very surreal experience because I was here with Zayn and that was amazing yet terrifying at the same time.

"We're here!" My mom exclaimed from her seat in the front.

I smiled, despite my shaking with nerves.

"Here I'll get that bags, okay," Zayn whispered to me.

"No it's okay, I'll help you," I said, not wanting to go in the house without him.

"Okay," He said and we got out of the car together and walked towards the trunk that held all of our luggage.

"Nervous?" Zayn asked, slightly smirking.

"Oh shut up," I said, smacking his arm slightly.

"I'll take that as a yes then," he laughed as he got the last bag out of the trunk and shut it.

"Shouldn't you be the nervous one," I said, aggravated that he was so placid at a time like this; I was upset that I'd now been the nervous one two trips in a row.

"Yes," He started, "But seeing you so nervous is making this so much easier."

"Oh shut up!" I said, once again smacking his arm, a tiny bit harder this time.

"Oh whatever, let's go," he said pulling me along to the front doors.

The moment I opened the door it took everything inside of me not to burst into tears. I had so many memories and nothing had changed, everything was in the exact same spot it'd been in when I left eight months ago. Eight months. Eight months was such a long time, and it felt like an eternity because I was away from my family and I'd missed them so much, and as much as I love staying in London, it just didn't have that sense of home that this house did.

"Wow," Was all I was able to say at the moment, I was just in so much shock.

"Is my room still the same?" I asked, turning around to look at my mom for the answer.

"Yeah sweetie, your bed, posters, stuffed animals, all there." She smiled.

"Mom," I hissed. Well this was really embarrassing.

"Oops," She smiled, walking into the kitchen.

I let out an exasperated sigh.

"Well now I want to see your room," Zayn laughed, heading up the stairs.

"Zayn!" I exclaimed, laughing.

"Yeah?" he asked, looking at me from the stairs.

"Nothing," I sighed, reluctantly following him up the stairs.

"Bit of a Taylor Swift obsession then huh?" Zayn asked me mockingly, pointing to the Taylor Swift posters hanging on the wall above my bed.

"Stop!" I exclaimed, embarrassed by myself. Who the hell was I eight months ago?!

"C'mon she was my first concert, cut me some slack!" I pleaded.

Zayn just shook his head laughing.

"Are we staying in here?" Zayn asked, pointing to my tiny twin sized bed that I wasn't sure I even fit into anymore.

"No. Guest Room." I told him, "It's down the hall. Right next to Jade's room."

"Okay, so do you want to start unpacking?" He asked.

"Yeah. And if we could maybe just forget that this room exists," I said.

"Are you serious," He laughed, "Never!"

Since we were in Florida, known for its amazing beaches, we decided we would go to the beach that was right near my house.

"It would be amazing if I could somehow catch a tan. I've never really been able to tan, but now that I've been living in England I'm as pale as a ghost," I said to Zayn. We were getting ready for the beach, it would just be me, Zayn, and Jade.

"Ariana, can we get lunch on the cafe on the beach too? You know, the place we used to go all the time on the dock?" Jade asked excitedly.

"Of course! The French Toast right? It's always been your favorite," I laughed.

"Yeah!" She giggled back.

ZAYN

Watching Ariana and Jade interact was like being home again with all my sisters and suddenly I was wishing that this was Ariana and I in a different world, brought together by fate instead of money, and we were able to be who we wanted to be without being watched all day everyday, being judged for the slightest and simplest things.

We arrived on the beach and it brought me back to the last time I was at a beach in Florida, it was 2013 and I was newly engaged to Perrie. The thought brought my mood down a little, but I tried to hide it as much as I could so it didn't effect Ariana and Jade's moods.

"Wow," I started with a laugh, "Sun. It's defiantly been a while."

"Yeah, it's always so rainy..." Ariana said and launched into a story about how it was constantly rainy and cloudy in London.

"Yeah, all the time no sun what so ever," I nodded.

"Zayn," Jade started shyly," When do you think I could meet your sister?"

"Actually, since none of my sisters have ever been here, Ariana promised she'd bring them here over the summer, so couple more months, I think Safaa's really pretty excited to meet you too." I told her honestly, thinking back to what Ariana had told my sisters at the cafe and prayed to God that she would be there by summer to carry out the promise.
