Now that Elizabeth's spirits had been lifted, I really saw no reason not to join the fight in Liones. Elizabeth decided that she'd also like to head there, and since we were a few hours away I said I'd go on ahead and help out while we waited for her to get there.
There was no telling when my brother would come back, or even if he would, but we had to have hope.
And if he was coming back, I really hoped he'd hurry the fuck up.
"Would you like me to make you something for the road, Prelialduis?" Elizabeth asked me as I wore my scabbard over my outfit.
I'd gotten tired of the hoodie, it was too heavy. The tights were too...well, tight. Not that they hindered me in any way, I just wanted to be more comfortable as I annihilated my enemies. So I switched it up for a simple plain sleeveless crop top with a pair of black sweatpants. It was also easier to put my scabbard over.
I shook my head now, adjusting the straps. "No thanks, I ate not too long ago. I just want to get there and help."
"Alright, then, good luck," she smiled.
"You too. At least I know you have Zaratras with you, and you can defend yourself anyway."
"Don't forget me!" Hawk called from under us.
I chuckled. "Never dream of it, Sir Hawk. Take care."
"Be safe, Lady Prelialduis," Zaratras waved.
I walked out of the Boar Hat. "Bye, Hawk's Mom!"
I received a grunt of response.
Making sure everything was okay, I summoned my wings and flew north, directly to Liones.
As I went I thought about the best place to go and help. My guess was that the Commandments had split up to do their dirty work all over the kingdom.
We'd heard rumors of a large group of citizens suddenly fighting on the enemy's side. I figured that it must be Zeldris, who'd had his Commandment provide him with new soldiers against their will.
Ban and the others were stationed at the castle, protecting the king and the citizens who could manage to get there. I predicted Estarossa would be there, taking out the bulk of our side.
I wasn't going there. With the way I felt about him that was a horrible idea. It was only supposed to render anyone who showed any hatred unable to fight, but my hatred for him would probably turn me into mush when I got inflicted by his Commandment, the fucking bastard.
That left Derieri and Monspeet, the iconic duo. No doubt they were in the city too. That was my best bet.
I arrived in Liones, and hovered in the air searching for the two of them. And find them I did. Well, more specifically, I spotted Derieri.
She was encased in a sphere of light that looked eerily similar to the Ark power of the Goddess race. I didn't understand how, though. Elizabeth wasn't here, and even if she was, she hadn't awakened such power in herself yet.
Then I saw an old man with wings exactly like a Goddess', and he held his hand out like he was the one entrapping her.
So he'd offered up his life to be a vessel for a Goddess? Things must be tough here.
I watched as Derieri broke through the Ark, and as the man slashed at her, only for his sword to break. Then he looked like he'd resorted to negotiating with her. But I knew Derieri. She didn't talk. She killed.
Two seconds later, she proved me right, tearing the poor vessel in two with her claw.
When she landed next to Monspeet, I landed too, right in front of them.
