"Impossible!" Fraudrin sputtered.
"Alright, Ten Commandments, as of this moment I've signed you all up to be my guinea pigs."
I noticed that her Sacred Treasure wasn't hovering in between her anymore, like a hologram. It was in her very real hand.
She'd found a way to undo the Commandment inflicted on her. Well, I'll be damned.
"Geez, took you long enough," Ban smirked.
"Well, I have been rather caught up in my experiments," she said, landing on the ground.
"I sense this Human is extremely dangerous," Grayroad said. "Breakable Bug!"
One of Grayroad's mouths opened, releasing a swarm of bugs at her.
"Really?" Merlin scoffed, raising her hand to retaliate.
"Merlin, stop!" I called.
We could not just get such an edge on them and then have her die so easily.
But she ignored me. It was getting really damn old at this point. "Exterminate Ray!"
An intense light eliminated all the insects coming her way.
"Merlin, you idiot!" I yelled.
"Now you're finished!" Grayroad rasped gleefully. "Anyone who defies my Commandment of Pacifism will be robbed of their time and annihilated!"
I looked at Merlin sadly, but her smirk still didn't waver. And she wasn't aging.
What in the fuck-?
"Robbed of their time, you say?" she said calmly. "So, in other words, you can literally steal their remaining life span?"
Fraudrin gasped, and I didn't blame him. I was stupefied as well.
"That's an interesting Commandment. Unfortunately for you, it has no effect on me."
"What? How? Why aren't you changing?" Grayroad asked.
"Experiments are time-consuming, you know. And even as I engage in them, I find new interests, new phenomena in the world. No matter how much I try to quench my thirst for knowledge, I find myself wanting more. But human life is finite, after all, thus making it impossible to truly know everything. Can you think of anything more irritating than that conundrum?"
I stared at her.
"I'll answer that for you. There isn't. And then it occurred to me. If that's the case, all I have to do is stop my own time."
What did she just say?
She began floating towards Grayroad.
"Stop your own time?" the Demoness repeated. "Twisting the laws of the world requires a massive amount of power. And to continue to sustain such a state would be impossible!"
"Infinity. That's the magical power I possess. No matter how difficult it may be to sustain a spell, I only need to cast it once. And unless I choose to disable it myself that spell will always remain."
She...she was fucking awesome. God, that was attractive.
She looked down at us. "What's wrong, everyone? You all look like you want to say something."
I looked at everyone, a smirk on my face. Every jaw was dropped and every eye widened.
Except Ban's. He was smirking too.
This was all too much sexual tension for five minutes.
"That's cheating!" Grayroad hissed.
"Still, that doesn't explain how you were freed from Galand's spell," Fraudrin called.
