TRIGGER WARNING!!: severe panic/anxiety attack + vomit
<tuesday march 16 3:14 PM>
your consciousness comes back all at once, though you regain your sight back in bits in pieces, having no recollection of why you're laying on a stretcher with medics hovering around you. the bells ringing slowly fade back to the sound of children screaming and having fun, while you can't get over the obnoxious pounding occurring in your head.
you feel a slightly cool touch cup your face in their hand. vision still blurry, you're unable to make out the waves of blonde hair swarming your sight until you hear, "thank god you're awake."
tommy.
you feel his lips meet your forehead as he's quickly pulled away by a first responder who shines a bright light back and forth in front of your eyes, causing you to jerk your head away in shock. "what's your name?"
"um, um..." you murmur.
"do you know where you are?" the fuzzy image of a woman in scrubs examines you hurriedly, conducting an exam.
you shoot your eyes all around like a deer in headlights, lost swimming in a sea of confusion that gets deeper and deeper.
"beach?" you croak out, puzzled why the single word caused such difficulty escaping your mouth.
"good, dear. that's right," the medic says warmly and you realize that you don't feel any more stethoscopes or medical instruments touching you. "we're gonna take you to the hospital to check you out, okay?" you begin to shake your head frantically as a no, attempting to get up but you realize you are strapped down to the stretcher underneath you. "woah, woah there," the woman places her hand gently on your shoulder, making you relax in your position. "it's alright. we just want to see what's going on." you nod your head sulkily when you begin to hear sobs coming from the corner of your hearing, though you aren't sure who the crying is coming from.
a group of first responders lift your stretcher off of the ground and place you inside of an ambulance. blobs of people move all around you, the three furthest away you assume are tommy, jake and tubbo, running towards the open doors of the back of the vehicle. the woman who's been taking care of you stands in front of the ambulance doors, spreading her arms and blocking any of the three boys from entering. "not so fast," she says sternly. "only one of you can come."
you see the tallest figure grab a hold of whom you presume is jake and hear him say, "look, i know she's your sister, and i've only known her for what, like a couple of days? but please let me go with her, okay?" you hear a gasp escape his mouth and you recognize that the sobbing you heard is coming from tommy. "i need to make sure she's alright. please."
"boys, i need a decision," the paramedic butts in.
the sound of tommy's desperation in his voice and his crying causes a wrench in your stomach, making you want to vomit. you ferociously try to blink away the tears in your eyes, the gross taste in your mouth threatening to make an appearance outside of your body. you feel your consciousness slipping out from your fingertips as your head starts to loll back, your vision now going in and out like an old lightbulb that needs to be replaced.
you feel someone's presence hovering over you now, pressing their fingers against your neck for a pulse and frantically snapping the other hand in front of your face trying to retain your consciousness. "hey, hey!" you recognize the woman's voice. "i never got your name sweetie, do you think you can tell me?"
you open your mouth to open your name but the acidic nightmare you were trying to gulp down plummets out of you with no mercy. your head is spinning out of control as you lay back down and your sight vanishes completely, leaving you with only the potent smell of vomit covered all over yourself and the ambulance. tears stream down your face like waterfalls and you realize how vulnerable you feel laying here, like someone has taken over your body and you have no control of it anymore.
"it's okay honey," the paramedic assures you. "let's get going, now," she calls to the ambulance driver up front.
"gotcha," the driver responds back.
you begin dazing off to sleep, or wherever your brain takes you when these blackouts happen when you hear the ambulance doors swing open. "y/n!" you feel your face being held in someone's hands, though your sight is no longer there to support their touch with a face but his voice is one you could never forget.
unable to open your mouth without puking once more, you smile warmly at this person's presence. although you are unsure what the hell is going on, you know you're safe as long as he's here with you.
"look's like you three sorted out who's tagging along," you hear the doctor say. "now tell me, what's your name?"
"t-to-tommy, ma'am," tommy forces his name out of his mouth and you feel what must be a teardrop spill out of his eyes and splash onto your cheek.
"don't worry tommy, y/n is in good hands."
