It's been two weeks, I've barely gotten sleep and blake has been here the entire time. Today I was going to my doctor to discuss the situation with the miscarriages. While sitting in the room with JJ sitting on his little blanket in front of me the doctor came in and looked at me a little shocked.
"Your husband's not here?" She questioned and I nodded.
"He had work," I lied and the doctor sat down.
"So what brings you in today?" She questioned.
"I think I might've had a miscarriage and I wanted to double check...." I said and she nodded.
"Well let's get you set up for an ultrasound and I'm just gonna have to run some tests on possible reasons for the miscarriage" The doctor said and I picked up JJ.
"Hey buddy," she said in a babyish toned voice and JJ smiled. I kissed his head and put him back down.
"How old?" The doctor asked.
"8 and a half months," I said and she smiled and JJ played with his teething toy. Once I was set up and ready the doctor checked my stomach for any signs that the baby was okay. Nothing came up and I sighed.
"I'm so sorry," the doctor said with a sigh and I sniffled back my tears.
"We do recommend some therapy for mothers going through this grief if you want me to give you the number," She recommended and I shook my head.
"Umm I think it's best for me to get through this with Jaden," I said as the tears welled up in my eyes.
"Okay you're all set here and if you need anything just give us a call," She said before leaving the room. Holding my tears back as much as I could I took my phone out of the diaper bag and called Jaden. It rang for a few seconds before going to voicemail.
"Hey Jay it me again, I just wanted to let you know that I got it confirmed that we did lose the baby, I really hope you come home, I can't do this alone... I love you bye...." I left another voicemail and looked down at JJ.
"Mommy has a lot more to do today," I said and picked up JJ so I could clean up his stuff. Stepping outside the hospital I saw a familiar car. I sighed shaking my head like I was imagining things but heard the voice from behind me.
"Get in," he said and I felt shivers down my spine. Throwing my bag in the back seat and hold JJ close to me I got in the passenger seat.
"How'd you know I was gonna be here?" I asked and he didn't look at me as he started the car.
"Jaden?" I questioned and he sighed.
"Blake told me you had an appointment and I've never missed one, I waited this entire time because I was scared to see you," Jaden said and kept his eyes on the road. The car ride was silent after that. He pulled over by the cliffs he crashed into that one night. He sighed and looked over at me. He examined my features and let his head drop.
"Baby I'm so sorry I took off like that, I didn't know what to think of how to feel," Jaden said and I reached out and rubbed his cheek with my thumb. He looked up at me with teary eyes.
"Its okay we're gonna get through together, and we have these two beautiful babies right now that need our attention more than ever," I said and he smiled weakly.
"I feel like a jerk for what I said, let me make it up to you," Jaden said with a smirk and I shook my head.
"When Blake takes them tomorrow," I said and he chuckled.
"Sounds good to me," he said and kissed me quickly.
"Now let's get you home so you can rest, I promise I'll watch the babies while you relax, I know how much stress I put you under and I'm sorry," Jaden said and I smiled lightly.
"If you want you and JJ can rest in the back," Jaden suggested and I nodded. I passed JJ to Jaden for a second and I got into the back seat. He passed JJ as I tried to get comfortable with JJ on my chest. Jaden smiled at us before starting to drive. I fell asleep in seconds fro. Listening to Jaden hum and drive at the same time. JJ fell asleep on my chest and I didn't know we had gotten home until I felt Jaden pick me up into his arms. I groaned slightly and he kissed my head.
"Sleep my love, you need it," Jaden whispered. I put my head on his chest as he carried me up to our room. Once my body hit our bed I slowly drifted more to sleep. Jaden kissed my temple before turning off the lights and leaving the room. I still wonder how I got this lucky.
