On the drive to the hospital, I had no feelings, I didn't know how to feel, Alexis has caused my family so much pain and I just wanted this to be over. Once we pulled into the parking I went inside and requested to see her. They gave me her room number and I was escorted up to the room. Looking through the window of the door All I could see was Alexis laying almost lifeless on the bed. She had many wires and tubes connected to her body. Ryan opened the door and gave me a weak smile before we walked inside. I sighed and looked at Ryan.
"How am I supposed to react?" I questioned.
"Anyway you want," Ryan said and I shook my head.
"I'm still so angry at what she did, idk if I can feel sad right now," I said and sat on a stool that was beside her bed. The beeps in the room went off every few seconds, seeing someone that I cared so much for, for a few years of my life just lay here with a small chance to live was making my heart ache but I can't forgive what she did.
"Y/N, if you want to leave, you can, I know how much Alexis hurt you, obviously nothing can change what she did but you were her bestfriend, her roommate, and sister. Alexis loved you so much," I cut him off.
"That last part is bullshit, she put me through hell, had stress my family out so much because of this crush she had on Jaden, she decided to be a slut at the end of the, she got pregnant by god knows who. All she ever wanted to do was part, drink, sleep with as many men as she could. I left her because I knew I was better then that life," I said in a harsh tone because I knew Alexis. Yes she was my bestfriend but at the end of the day, she's nothing to me now, I came here today to see if I could have any forgiveness for her but that answer turned out to be no.
"Ryan I waist my time coming here, if she lives, tell me, if she dies, she was already dead to me anyway," I said before storming out of the hospital room. I was stopped by a nurse on my way out of the hospital.
"This is Alexis's belongings that survived the crash, do what you want with them," she said before handing me the bag. I nodded before leaving and getting in my Uber. I looked through the bag and all it was, was her purse, emergency bag, and phone. The screen had a small crack in it, I turned on the phone and unlocked it, suprising she still had my finger print saved. Looking through Alexis's phone on the way home didn't surprise me, she had all these dating apps and photos that I wish I never saw, the only thing that wasn't there were texts with Jaden. I questionably looked through her texts not finding any evidence of contact with Jaden, no phone calls, no texts, nothing....
When I got home, Jaden had just put both the babies down for their naps.
"Hey, how'd it go?" Jaden asked as I walked into our room.
"A waist of time," I said and looked over at Jaden's phone.
"Can I see your phone for a second?" I asked and he nodded.
"Sure, what's up?" He questioned.
"The hospital gave me Alexis's phone and there was no proof of contact with you on the phone," I said and Jaden looked confused. I looked at the number that Jaden had blocked as Alexis's number, it didn't match the one on her phone.
"What the fuck?" Jaden said and I was just ad as confused as he was. I took out my phone and looked at the number I had her saved under. It match the one on her phone but not the one of Jaden's
"She's been contacting you from a different number," I said and Jaden called the number on his phone. A phone ringing could be heard from across the room in the bad they gave me at the hospital. I searched through the bag and for another phone. Looking at the lockscreen terrified me. It was a picture of Jaden. The phone was locked, only with a password. Creepy enough the password was Jaden's birthday. I looked through the phone, discussed and disturbed by what I was looking at. Jaden was looking my shoulder but got up to go to the bathroom after seeing a few things. I could here him puking and rushed over to the bathroom.
"Please for fucks sake burn that phone," Jaden asked and I nodded. We went into our backyard and dug a small hole, to throw the phone into with some lighter fluid. I lit the match and threw it in. We watched the phone and dead plants burn up in flames. Jaden wrapped his arms around me and kissed my forehead.
"Its over," he said and I shook my head.
"Not yet" I said.
