A few weeks later:
Alexis was in a coma, she could breathe on her own and her heart was still beating, but due to her brain damage, the doctors had know idea when she'd wake, or if she'd remember anything. I took that to an advantage, to basically erase most of the crap she was doing before the car crash. Ryan helped, we hoped to make this "new" Alexis better then the first. We were crossing our fingers, that if she did wake up, she wouldn't remember anything. Obviously she probably gain her memory back but I just wanted a better person for this world. I didn't want her back in my life but at least she wouldn't be absolutely stalking Jaden's every move. Jaden went to therapy for what he had saw on that phone, I went with him most of the time. He hated everything about Alexis and still questioned why I was trying to make her a better person if she woke up. I explained to him many times that I don't want her back in our lives, I just want to make our lives easier knowing she won't know us. During all of this JJ was learning to walk, Lara held his hand the first time he stood up and he took a few steps with her. He fell on his butt after those few steps but it was Lara's favorite thing, walking with JJ. It was so adorable watching this walk around the house together, holding each other's hands. Jaden watched the first steps happen while I was at the hospital signing agreements that if it was to happen to just pull Alexis's life support, since I was her emergency contact. Jaden thought I made the right choice, and so did I. We had so much peace and quiet in the house on some days since Blake would still take the babies to sway to hang out with the other guys.
"Babe?" Jaden questioned as we were cuddling on the couch.
"Yeah?" I answered and looked at him.
"Do you think she's gonna wake up?" Jaden questioned and I shrugged.
"I don't know," I said and my phone rang. It was the hospital.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Hi is this mrs. Hossler?" The lady asked.
"Yes," I said.
"We sorry to tell you but Alexis passed away about 10 minutes ago," she said and my heart ache.
"We have contacted her parents, we just want to make sure that you were aware," the woman said on the other line and Jaden looked at me as a tear fell down my cheeks.
"What happened?" I asked, after clearing my throat.
"We noticed her heart had stopped, the machines didn't catch it," she said and I sighed.
"Thank you for calling," I said.
"Of course, we are sorry for your loss," she said before I hung up.
"She's gone," I said and Jaden pulled me closer to him. I wanted to cry, I really did but I couldn't. Jaden rubbed my back and kissed my head.
"How are you feeling?" Jaden asked.
"I don't know, I have the feeling of grief but I just can't bring myself to be sad that she's gone," I said and Jaden gave me a weak smile.
"You're in shock, you don't know how to react right now, but you'll be okay," Jaden said and continued to hold me close to him. I'm so happy that I have Jaden, I know he's gonna help get through this, like he's helped me get through everything. I don't know where I'd be without him if I'm being honest. I'm glad I met this party boy, hes all I'll ever need besides the two wonderful lives we brought into this world. I love Jaden Hossler with all my heart and there will never been another like him.
