Brooks' POV
Once the shivers ended, I saw a figure dart out from behind the Queen's throne. It was weird- it looked human but it had light blue wings with silver markings on them. It wasn't pretty it was more magnificent.
"Now that we are all done with introductions, my faery servant, Alyssa, will escort you to you... room," the Queen chuckled again.
Alyssa gestured for me to follow her, so I went out of the throne room right behind her. She led me through a series of twists and turns until we finally reached a stairwell going down. I couldn't see the bottom- it was too dark, but Alyssa urged me forward anyway.
I started feeling the wall once I got to where it was too dark to see, but Alyssa gave me a hard shove and I tumbled down the stairs to the bottom. I tried to look around, but I coulnd't see anything. All I heard was some metal squeaking. I guessed it was a rusty door, but it wasn't until Alyssa lit the torch when I knew for sure.
"Listen human, if you want to get out of here alive, then you must do what the queen wants. Exactly when she wants it done."
The faery flew away with the torch, leaving me alone in the dark. I couldn't help but think of the last time I was locked in a cell like this. Only two weeks ago. With Mary Grace. I miss her badly now. I never knew how much I liked her until now.
Rylee's POV
Everyone was quiet after we left Miss Sunshine's. Sometimes the silence was violent, but I wasn't going to be the one to break it up. I knew Daniel had to have some time- I've been in that position before. I've had multiple loved ones die, but I've always had family and friends. Daniel is stuck with us, who barely know him, forced to keep on going with this quest. I feel sorry for him.
I know Brooks is still alive, but that's all I know. If he was dead me and Mary Grace wouldn't known, but I feel the same as I did last week, so I guess everything's fine.
Sara's POV
I'm so tired now. I hate this quest now. My teeth have been hurting lately- probably because I haven't been eating mush stuff.... They feel like they're about to fall out now.
"Okay everyone, let's set up camp here," David announced.
I was grateful- Miss Sunshine had brought some of her food from her restaurant with us. She brought out... her special drink... but she also brought out some other food. She heated up some bread and sausage with her wand, and we all ate before we all collapsed from exhaustion. I hoped we could have a lot of sleep tonight.
