Sara's POV
I woke up to the sound of the distant rock picks clanking against the rocky walls and the hammers forging the dwarven war hammers and maces. I yawned and stretched my arms out, but there was no way of telling the time right now.I rose out of my bed and peeked out of the room. There wasn't anyone out yet, but I decided to come out anyway. Maybe everyone else was already awake.
I made it to the end of the hallway and made a right. I began to wander the hallways until I decided I was lost. I had just started to back track before I ran into King Breton.
"What are you doing here, Madame?"
"I was trying to find someone else," I couldn't make eye contact with him.
"Well you know now that you shouldn't do that here. I was going to get y'all ready for the Championship, but I can't do that if I'm too busy trying to find wandering souls in these tunnels," Breton remarked.
"It won't happen again, King Breton."
"It better not, but in the meantime, here is your gold piece," King Breton smirked and held out the gold.
"You should pay more attention to your surroundings, human. the next time it might be a thief trying to pickpocket you."
"You already pick pocketed me."
"But I have it back, didn't I? The next time it will be a thief who wouldn't hesitate to keep your money."
"I suppose."
"Follow me. Once we get the others we shall eat and get y'all ready for the Championship."Nicholas' POV
I woke up and looked around the room. Last night I hadn't really paid attention to anything I had just collapsed onto my bed. The only thing I remember was King Breton.
I got up and walked around the room waiting for something to happen, when Breton himself with Sara and Rylee behind him opened the door.
"Rise and shine," Breton motioned for me to follow them.
We went to get Phoebe and Mary Grace's room before going into the dinner hall. Breakfast smelled so good- eggs, bacon, biscuits- my stomach started to rumble. I sat to the right of Rylee and to the left of Phoebe.Mary Grace's POV
I barely managed to sit through that meal. I had to sit across from Phoebe, and in between Sara and David. Mason sat across from Rylee, David sat across from Nick, and Sara sat across from Daniel. But still nothing would've been that bad except the evil looks that I saw Phoebe giving Rylee. I pretended not to notice, but I was getting really worried about her. Lately she seemed so... awkward.
The breakfast was so good though. I loved the food here. Plus it was good we were finally sitting down at a table. It feels like we were on the road for months, when it was only days.Rylee's POV
This breakfast was nearly perfect. I got to sit right next to Nicholas and Sara, and everything but the eggs were good. They tasted weird... like they were undercooked or something. But i did eat the bacon and biscuits and pancakes and everything else. The biscuits were so good I wish i could've taken them home. The butter wouldn't spread so I accidently flicked it somewhere. I pretended nothing happened.Brooks' POV
I was getting really really bored now. I wish I had something to do or I wish I could have my phone. I wonder how many texts I've gotten... Ever since camp started I haven't been able to get on my phone. A month and a half now...
"Human! Get up!" Alyssa flew into view.
As I got up the faery unlocked the gates and led me up to the stairs. I had been waiting for a day where I could finally get out of the cell, but now that it was happening I was kind of scared.
Alyssa kept leading me through endless hallways and doors until r finally came to a stop. We were in a dark room when she lit a torch.
"I have to know. Are you one of the chosen ones?"
"What?"
"Are you one of the mortals that ends up saving us all?"
"I don't know I guess. That's when Rilee and Landon keep saying."
Alyssa started whispering to herself, but I couldn't hear what she was saying.
"What are you going to do to me now. If you're going to kill me then just get it over with."
"Oh gosh no. I'm going to help you escape from this wretched place," Alyssa opened a trap door.
