concept: You and Corpse go on a picnic... but Corpse tells you something significant.

"Get ready, we're going somewhere." Corpse said into the bedroom, before heading into the kitchen.
"O-okay?" You chuckle, not sure where he was taking you. 

You slip on a t-shirt and jeans, before going into the bathroom to brush your teeth and wash your face. You were still confused on where he was taking you, but you went with it. You slipped on a pair of shoes, before grabbing your phone and heading out the door behind Corpse.

After driving for some time, you realize that you guys are pretty much in the middle of nowhere. 
"Baby?" you speak up.
"Yeah?"
"Are we lost?" you chuckle. 
"No." Corpse laughs. "We're actually almost there." he said, pulling into a small valley. You could barely tell where it was, but the little bit of sunlight peeking over the trees gave you a good idea of where you two were.

Corpse seemed to disappear for a moment, but when he emerged again, the entire valley was lit up with fairy lights. Your eyes went wide, a huge smile plastered on your face. It looked like something straight out of a movie. You laughed a little, looking around at the lights surrounding you.

"Do you like it?" Corpse asked, sounding nervous. 
"Like it?" you scoffed jokingly. "Baby, I love it!" you laugh, jumping into his arms and giving him a deep kiss. "I love it." you repeat, holding his face gently and looking into his eyes. 
Corpse gave a smile, kissing you again. "I'm glad." he smiled.

You smile, looking down to see a blanket and picnic basket. "Is this all for me?" you asked, still not believing that he did all of this for you. 
"Of course, baby. Anything for you." Corpse said with a smile. 

You two sit down, Corpse pulling out a bottle of wine and two glasses from the basket. 
"Wow, fancy." you tease, watching him chuckle. He was so perfect. You never could understand why he didn't like himself so much. 
"I decided to splurge a little." Corpse joked. 

You two ate and talked for a little, before he looked down at you. His eyes were so soft... his face looked so happy... but he seemed- nervous? Like he was bottling something up. 
You decide not to say anything about it, not wanting to make it worse.

"Baby?" he asked, his voice a bit shaky. 
"Yes?"
"So... I've been waiting for the right moment to tell you this... and right now seems about right." he started, before continuing. "So... you know how beautiful I think you are. I mean... fuck, look at you." he chuckled, making you blush.
"But seriously. You are the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen. Even if you're not wearing makeup. Even if your hair is all over the place and you've just woken up. You're still so beautiful." he continued, making you blush more.
"When we got together... I was at one of the lowest points in my life. But... you helped pull me out of that. You gave me a reason to keep going. Just the thought of your smile is enough motivation to get me through another day, no matter how hard." 

You blush even more, if that was even possible, before hiding your face in his chest, feeling embarrassed. "Stop!" you laugh a little. 
"No, I'm being serious." Corpse said, holding your face in his hands. 

"What I'm trying to say... is that I love you, baby. I love you so much." Corpse said softly. 
Your heart skipped a beat at those words. You never thought this day would come. You smile widely up at him, your heart racing. 
"I love you, too." you whisper, before getting pulled into a warm kiss. 

"I've been wanting to tell you that for a while now... but I didn't know how. So I figured, why not do something romantic. Let my soft side show, ya know?" Corpse laughed. 
"Well, it's better than anything I could've asked for, baby. Thank you." you say softly, leaning into him because it was getting a bit chilly. 

"Oh- here, baby." Corpse said, pulling his hoodie off and slipping it onto you. 
"No, bub, you don't have to-" you say, before Corpse shook his head. 
"Don't worry about it, baby." he smiled, kissing the top of your head. 

There was definitely no place you'd rather be right now than with him. You loved him so much... and he felt the exact same way.
