[Corpse's POV]

"And at the end of the movie, she killed the Beldam and ended up living a happy life in the real world with her family. She didn't take anything for granted after everything she went through. You've really never seen Coraline?" Y/N spoke, my eyes watching her lips move as she spoke. She was so enchanting.

"No... no I haven't. Maybe we can rent it or something later?" I said, taking in everything she was saying.

Wow. I haven't been this hung over a girl in... a very long time. I vomited before our first date from pure nervousness. She makes my stomach hurt because she's so beautiful.

"Really?!" She smiled, grabbing my hand across the diner table.

"Yes, really, baby." I laughed.
"Anything for you."

She giggled, squeezing my hand. She was so cute.

"Wanna get our dessert? We can eat it at home."

"Sure." I smiled.

We ordered two milkshakes, and hopped in my truck.

She reached over, turning the knob on the radio and tuning the station to her favorite genre.

I smiled as I placed my hand on her thigh, slightly gripping it as I steered with my left hand.
She started to stumble over her words as she sang, making me chuckle.

"What's wrong, doll?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You just... n-nothing.." she smiled, sliding her comparatively small hand into mine.

We sat in silence for a moment, and she looked out the window as we drove smoothly along the pavement.

"Make a left here." she said, pointing at the fork in the road.
I raised an eyebrow again, genuinely confused this time. "But we make a right here?" I said.
"I know. But I know a spot." she shrugged.

I furrowed my eyebrows, taking the left like she said.

She smiled as we passed by a large field. "Now see that trail? It's kind of hidden in the weeds on the right."
"Right here?" I asked, flipping on my blinker.
"Mhm. Pull in there. Be careful going down the trail, it gets bumpy when it hasn't rained for a while."

I furrowed my eyebrows again. How did she know about this place?

I stopped when I saw a clearing, passing all of the trees we'd had to drive through. There was a small lake with a waterfall flowing from another clearing above it.

"Put it in park here." she said, before opening the door and taking her cute self and her ice cream around to the bed of the truck.

"Wow..." I whispered, following her out of the truck and into the bed.

"Hm?" she said, looking up at me with those beautiful y/e/c eyes.
"It's beautiful... just like you." I chuckled, seeing her face get all blushy.

I lifted her up onto the tailgate, before hoisting myself up there as well. I smiled as we moved back towards the cab of the truck.

"Do me a favor." she said.

"Anything, love."
"Look at the sky."

I did as she directed, my heart skipping a beat.

Wow. It was so clear out here... it was like nothing I'd seen before.
