a/n- hi i forgot people actually enjoy my stories okay bye

[Your POV]

I put one last hint of blush on my cheeks as I perfected my makeup. I was so excited, yet nervous. This was my first real valentine's day with Corpse. We were each other's valentine last year, but we were also still talking so it wasn't anything serious. But now we could go on a real date, and spend real time with each other without it being awkward. Though, I'm sure I can find a way for it to become awkward.

Corpse soon arrived at my door, wearing a nice white button-down with some slacks and nice dress shoes. I don't think I've ever seen him dress this well.

"Wow... you look beautiful!" He smiled, grabbing my hand and spinning me around.
"This dress on you is just... you're stunning." He laughed, before pulling me closer and kissing me.
"Happy valentine's day, gorgeous. Are you ready to go?"
"Right back at you. And yeah, I'm ready." I smiled.

We arrived at the restaurant, the parking lot being full already.

"Hello, do you have a reservation?" the hostess asked.
"Yeah, under Husband." he said, his arm wrapped firmly around my waist, keeping me close.

We were seated and given a bottle of wine and some glasses.

"Care for a drink?" Corpse asked.
"Sure!"

We sat in a comfortable silence while looking over the menu, Corpse's hand in my free one.

"You look so handsome tonight. Well, you always do, but you're all dressed up! I'm not used to that." I teased, giggling.

"Oh, is that right?" he said, my cheeks heating up.
"Yep. My beautiful boy." I smiled, kissing the back of his hand, his face getting red now, too.

We soon ordered, reminiscing the past year together over a fancy dinner and some wine. He always knew what to do for special occasions. He didn't seem like it, but he was a really romantic guy. It was his idea to come to a fancy steakhouse, and he offered to pay. He knew the exact way to my heart.

"You know, it was nice to finally have a whole day to ourselves." Corpse said as we drove down the highway.

"I know. I don't want it to end." I complained.
"Ugh, me neither, babe. I don't wanna go back to the real world tomorrow."
"You're streaming tomorrow?"
"Yeah. Anyways, you looked so gorgeous tonight. Did I tell you that?"
"You did." I chuckled.
"Oh- I did. Well maybe I don't remember because you were the only thing that was running through my head all night. It was absolutely impossible to focus on the food."
"You said it more than once, actually."
"Well, I'll say it again. You look absolutely beautiful tonight. Just like you always do."

We headed in the house, Corpse helping me out of my coat.

"Man, I can't get over it, you look so good in that dress..." He chuckled, clearly checking me out.
"God, come here." he said, pulling me into his chest and making me giggle.
"You feel so good, too." he laughed, kissing me softly.

"Baby, we've barely made it in the house."
"I know, I know! I'm sorry.  Um, actually, I got something for you."
"But you already got dinner..."
"Yeah, but what kind of boyfriend would I be if I didn't spoil you a bit on valentines day? Here, go ahead, open it up." Corpse said, handing me a small box.

I opened it, a beautiful diamond necklace being inside. It was small, but it wasn't about the size for me. Just the thought and effort.
"Do you recognize it?" he asked.
"Wait... is this?"
"Yeah. I saw you looking at it while we were shopping the other day, and I figured you'd might like it. Let me see it on you, turn around and let me put it on." he said, pushing my hair aside and clamping the necklace behind my neck.
