"Mmmh" I feel someone poking my cheek. "Wake up" I hear them whisper in my ear. "Nooo I don't want tooo" I whine then turn to my side. Why is it that I can never over sleep in this damn house. I would do anything to just sleep in just once. "Well you have no choice, your mom said to get up and get ready for church" I hear them say. Church? I haven't been to church in six years. "Now get up, your mom is making breakfast and she wants you dress before she's done" I turn my head up to see Adrian smiling at me.

I forgot that Adrian surprised me last night sleeping in my bed. "Good morning" she says giving me that beautiful smile. But that smile can't seem to fix how my heart feels right now. "Mornin" I mumble getting up going to the bathroom. Before I go in the bathroom I hear her groan "Arggh Jordan" But I ignore her continuing going inside the bathroom.

Coming out the bathroom after finishing my routine I see Adrian sitting on my now neatly made bed. Ignoring her stares I go to the dresser to find me a dress shirt. Mom made sure that we got dress clothes when we went shopping. I didn't see any point of getting them because I don't go anywhere formal but I guess she found a reason for me to wear them.

"So are you really seriously going to ignore me?" I hear Adrian ask me. I continue to find the rest of my clothes. "You know what Jordan? You're being a real major asshole right now." I straighten up with shock. Did she really just say that to me? "I'm going downstairs, don't talk to me until this whole attitude of yours goes away." I hear her get off my bed then leave out my room.

Great now I feel like the bad guy here. I mean she not one either, she can't help who she's dating. I just can't look at her without imagining her all over Terrence. But I need to accept they are together. And focus on being her supportive best friend.

After done getting dress I made my way downstairs to the kitchen. Walking towards the dining room I don't hear the normal chatter I would usually hear in the mornings. Entering the room, everyone is eating quietly to themselves. All I can hear is there silverware hitting their plates when they dive into their food.

At the corner of the my eye I see a figure at the head of the table. Turning my head I see the reason why the table is quiet. The devil himself is back from wherever he came from.

Scooting the chair out I get everyone's attention. "Good morning honey" Mom greets me cheerfully. Taking a seat next to Adrian, I look at my mom copy the smile she has on her face, "Mornin mom" I say back. I say my good mornings to my siblings which they return back to me.

"Here Honey" Mom hands me a plate. "You have to hurry up. We have to get to service before it starts" Mom adds. Taking the plate I start pack the food on my plate. "I didn't know she was coming with us" I hear the voice at the head of the table.

The clicking of the plates stop and I can feel the air get heavy. "Yes, yes she is" mom tells him than looks at me with a smile. He clears his throat and I know he's about to get into it. "Well don't you think it would be a little inappropriate if she came dress like that?" I can hear all the disgust in his voice. I was about to say something when mom touches my hand. She shakes her head giving me a smile letting me know she got this.

"No John I don't think what Jordan has on is inappropriate. Matter of fact I picked this outfit she has on doesn't she looks mighty handsome" She pinches my cheek. "Mommas girl" I hear Tim cough out making everyone laugh... well not everyone.

"What would people think? I don't want the attention on me, Jennifer" I should have known he was going to try make this about him. He literally thinks we live in his world and he's allowing us to live in it.

"Well John that sounds like a personal problem to me. Don't you think?"she says lifting up one of perfect shape eyebrows. "Now I'm going to this church with all my kids. if you or anyone else has a problem with that then well live with it." she finishes saying. She gets up leaving, not even giving him a chance to respond.
