"Good morning babe." You say with a smile as Sam walks in while you're cooking up some breakfast.
"Morning." He says, still a little sluggish, but perky. "That smells awesome."
"Thanks." You reply as you slide a plate full of eggs and bacon over to him on the table. He digs in quickly as Dean does the same across the table. You realized you really live with pigs. You smirk at this thought before grabbing a plate for yourself and taking a seat at the table.
"So, get this..." Sam starts. "There's been some more murders around this town, not demonic, but something supernatural, that's for sure. Not a very large crime scene, pretty basic and should be fairly quick. If you're cool with it Dean, I was wondering if you would be ok with checking out the crime scene by yourself. We aren't allowed to go check it out yet, but we can later tonight. But, I really want to take (y/n) out tonight. We haven't been on a date since you were in the hospital after you left." Sam was unsure about asking Dean that question. The inflection in his voice at the end clearly showed that.
"I should be able to handle it. You two have fun tonight." Dean said. The surprised look on Sam's face was priceless. He never thought Dean would say yes.
You desperately wanted the night to come. You anxiously waited around. You tried to waste time watching tv, looking up any extra info on that crime scene, and just hanging out, and listening to your music. It was torture having to wait so long. Finally, it was an hour before you were going to leave, so you start getting ready. You hop in the shower. You step into the hot water, and let all your worries about the date wash away with it. After a lengthy 25 minute shower, you get out and blow dry your hair. Normally you would just towel dry your hair and not care, but you wanted to look hot for Sam. Your hair was naturally straight, but curled a little on the ends, and actually looked really nice for once. You decided to put on a little makeup which you can't remember when the last time you did that was.
You then head to the closet to find something nice to wear. The one thing you really want to wear, you decide against-the dress Dean got you. It was so gorgeous, and you hadn't gotten a chance to wear it yet. You didn't want to make Dean mad, so you didn't wear it. Instead, you found a casual dress and a nice pair of flats to go with them. You walked out to where the boys were. Dean let out a whistle. "Shut up Dean." You tease, and he smirks at you. "Ready Sam?"
"Uhh. yeah." He says as he eyes you up and down unsure of what else to say.
"Bye Dean. If you need help at the crime scene, or anything is going on that you need help with, don't be afraid to give me or Sam a call."
"I've got it. Have fun you two."
You head out the door with Sam. Dean would follow soon after to then go to the crime scene. You take your car since Baby is off limits. "Where are we going?" You ask him.
"You'll see. It's a surprise." Sam says as you two drive off. You soon arrive at a really nice Italian restaurant that looks too expensive for Sam to even afford.
"This is so nice babe. How are you affording this?"
"Don't worry about that. I'm just happy to be here with you." He says before giving you a quick kiss on the lips. You walk in and are seated almost immediately. You order some pasta while Sam orders some sort of stuffed chicken thing. Everything is perfect. You two talk for quite a while, just free to be yourselves, neither one of you getting hurt, just pure, in the moment bliss. Then, Sam's phone rings.
"Hello?" he says with a sense of confusion in his voice. After a long pause he simply says "ok, we'll be right there." Then hangs up.
"What did Dean want? Is he ok?" You ask as you rush out to the car, lucky Sam was paying with cash so you could leave quickly. "It wasn't Dean I'll explain in the car. You were smart and brought a pair of sneakers with you in case Dean needed help.
"Who was it if it wasn't Dean?" You ask, really concerned.
"It was Crowley. He has demons that wander the streets, keeping a lookout for him, and one of them was near the crime scene. Dean is out of control. He was just investigating, when something pissed him off, and the mark kicked in. He started killing the cops on scene, and a couple civilians. Crowley called me because we kind of have a deal worked out with him, and he's not gonna kill Dean, and he knows if he gets involved out there, he will."
"Dang it! How are we gonna stop him Sam?"
"We can do it. He's done this before, we just gotta get through to him, and convince him to drop whatever knife he's got." That made sense. If you appeal to his humanity, he should snap out of it. You pull up on scene,
And it's a bloody mess. And that's just outside. The scene is inside, and that's probably where Dean is too. You see Crowley, and want to ask him questions about what he saw, but Dean is the priority. You step inside, and see blood coating the walls and the carpet. Dean is standing there with a knife and heading towards another person."Dean." Sam says.
He whips around pulling the poor woman up against him with the knife to her throat.
"It's no use Sammy. I have to kill. It's been far too long. I can't fight the urge anymore."
"Yes you can Dean. You can fight this. You can stop this. I've seen you do it before. Just stop. You gotta stop."
"I can't Sammy. It burns within me. It's a fire I can't extinguish. I need to kill so bad."
"Dean." You say as you come out from behind the wall of moose that is your husband. "Stop. Please. For me. Just drop the knife. Let this poor woman go." You slowly inch towards Dean. Sam tries to hold you back, but you shake him off. "Dean, don't hurt me, I'm coming to help you. Stay calm and the mark won't consume you completely." You try to rationalize with Dean even though you have no idea if what you said is true or not. You shove the knife from his hand and knock it to the floor. Dean nearly collapses, but you help him stay up. Sam helps the woman, while you help Dean out of the house.
Dean looks appalled at the mess he made. "What have I done." He mutters just loud enough for you to hear.
"It wasn't you Dean. It wasn't you. It was the mark. It's not your fault." You leave Dean's baby at the scene, and take him back to the bunker in your car. He is silent the whole ride. He just sits there with a dazed yet sad look in his eyes and stares at the road.
