Hands

I decide to go get my finger checked out at the doctors' office the next day after the weekly premed club meeting.

The doc had taken a single glance at it and went "Ok, you need 3 stitches" and got right to it. I think it took him about 1 minute and 14 seconds to get it done. Very efficient.

Yumi had come to observe but because he was so fast, she didn't get to see much to her disappointment.

"Eh, we'll get to shadow more doctors in the future once our BLS certifications come in," she said.

We went our separate ways after that and now I'm lying down on my bed watching TV, tired from the long day. I'm in the middle of watching Grey's Anatomy when I hear a knock at my door. I expect it's Goshiki since he said he'd be over later so I call, "It's unlocked, you can open it!"

My eyes never left the TV so imagine my surprise when I look up to see not my classmate but Semi standing above me.

"SEMI!" I yelp, scrambling to get into a sitting position. "God, I thought you were Goshiki."

He laughs at my flustered expression. "Sorry to disappoint you. I just wanted to check in and see how your finger was doing. You mind if I sit?"

I shake my head. "Not at all." I scoot over to give him room on my bed. "The doctor gave me 3 small stitches earlier, so it should heal up fine. It doesn't hurt or anything either, so that's good."

Semi nods and takes my hand in his, examining the stitching. His thumb starts to soothingly caress my knuckles. "That was a real deep cut. I hope it doesn't leave a scar.. you have such pretty hands."

He looks up into my eyes and breath hitches in my throat. Those brown orbs stare at me with an intensity I've never seen before and my body tenses up with the same feeling I had when we were in the gym locker room.

"Y/N.. I can't tell if you're doing this on purpose or not," he mutters huskily. "Making me think about things I shouldn't."

"Think about what?" I question, heart beating fast. Can he hear it thudding in my chest?

He raises an eyebrow. "About.. " he says, looking up at me through his long eyelashes. "Putting my hands all over you."

Now I really just completely forgot how to breathe altogether. Neither of us speak and in the deafening silence all I can do is stare back into his hazel eyes. He reaches out with his hand, placing it on my waist and pulls me to him so I'm suddenly on top of him straddling his lap.

"Eek!" I yelp, taking hold of his shoulders to stabilize myself.

"You're seriously so cute." He lowers his eyes to my thin tank top and takes one strap in between his index finger and thumb. "Tell me, Y/N. Do I ever cross your mind like you do mine, hm?"

I nod slowly, holding my breath. "Yeah.."

I see a change in his eyes becoming more focused and he moves towards me. I wrap my arms around his neck and meet his lips with mine. The kiss is electrifying and I feel heat consume my entire body. He is so incredibly gentle with me, kissing my lips once more before trailing kisses all down the side of my neck, sucking down on a particularly sensitive spot.

I moan, "Semi.."

"Mmm, yeah say my name, baby," he coos. He picks me up by the thighs and lies me down on the bed, climbing on top of me while removing his shirt, revealing a large tattoo of a dragon in flames on his chest. We start making out more when..

KNOCK KNOCK.

"Y/N, it's me, you in there?"

"F*ck. That's Goshiki," I whisper yell at Semi. I try to get up but he doesn't move and just stares down smiling at me. "Semi! I have to get that!"

He leans in again to kiss me, to which my body annoyingly just obliges. "Mmph, ok Y/N. We'll have to save this for another time."

My heartbeat quickens at that and I curse Goshiki for ruining the moment. Semi picks up his shirt off the ground and puts it back on. I put on a sweater and try to tame my hair. Semi spins me around and plants another heated kiss on my lips before he opens the door.

"Y/N what took you-" Goshiki starts saying but stops when he sees Semi. "Oh. What are you doing here?"

"Y/N cut her finger yesterday so I came to check up on it," Semi replies casually. "Glad you're doing ok, Y/N. See you around!"

He leaves and Goshiki stares off after him, then takes a seat at my desk. "You cut yourself? How?"

I sit back on my bed, trying to calm myself down, and say, "Oh, at the gym I grabbed a broken dummbbell that had a gnarly tear in it. I wasn't looking so it's my fault. I'm ok though. I got three stitches."

He turns to me. "Stitches?

I hold up my hand as evidence. "Yeah. So what's up? Do you need help with homework?"

He shakes his head. "Nah, I'm ok for this week. I actually wanted to ask.. are you busy Friday night?"

I think about my schedule in my head. "No, I don't think I am. You wanna do something?"

Goshiki starts to play with his hair. "The local aquarium is opening and it's free for students only on that day so I was wondering if you wanted to go check it out."

"Oh it's finally opening? Yeah, let's go! It'll be fun especially at night. I read up on it and apparently they shine lights into the tanks so it looks super cool!" I say, excited.

"Okay!" He smiles but suddenly steers the conversation back to Semi. "So was Semi really just here to check up on your finger?"
Im taken aback but I try not to feel flustered and compose myself. "Yeah, yeah of course. Why else?"

"Nothing.. it's just that he kind of has a reputation here for being a huge player."

"Oh." So he definitely has done this kinda thing before. Figures. "Ok, interesting. I never heard about that but don't worry, he definitely won't see me in.. that kind of way."

Goshiki doesn't look entirely convinced so I change the subject. "Since you're here anyways, wanna watch The Conjuring? I know you haven't seen it and if we're going to stay friends then this is a must."

We start watching the horror film and Goshiki is so super jumpy from just the beginning scene. His attention is completely taken up by the TV screen but all I can think about is if I'm becoming just one of Semi's many playthings and my heart sinks a little.
