She was 9, when her mother died. It was of course very saddening, but it was quite expected as her mother suffer from a very chronic illness. But, what 9 years old Verita didn't expect was the day her mother died, was also the day her family stopped being a family.
That day was the day that her loving father and her protective brother changed. Her father became violent, he became unloving. And her brother became distant, became a stranger.
When her father decided to marry her step mother, 2 years after her mother died. She thought that her father was going to change, and finally, they would be the loving family they used to be. But to hell with that, as her step-mother was a demon descended from hell.
That year she also got into Hogwarts, and finally she's not home hearing her father and her step-mother's violent complains. But merlin says fuck that, that year she was famous for being the sister of her perfect vicious brother. And every time she spent there was a living hell, and she became the "Hotheaded Malfoy", the easily irritable sister, the one that people avoided. And that was also when she stopped having stupid thoughts and hoping her life would be the happy life she once had. And she was sure, that all of her problems would never end, and that her life would suck for eternity.
And though this all suck and all that. Maybe this same problem, can turn into a somewhat Cursed Miracle.
