TW! virge gettin' dysphoric in the shower, light mention of periods and blood, cursing (Remy's fault and a little bit of Virgil's lol)

also quick note this is like a week after the party. (and school doesn't start September, in case anyone is confused lol)

Logan's POV

I rubbed sleep from my eyes, pouring hot water from the kettle into my tea cup. I'd have coffee, but the high levels of caffeine would only hinder my productivity, so I settle for my tea. Sipping my drink, I looked out the window above the sink. The sky was cloudy and grey, and there seemed to still be a sprinkle left over from the previous night.

I was torn from my thoughts by the sound of Virgil's door opening. He stepped out, blinking in the sudden brightness. I quickly averted my gaze, hiding my likely red face in my cup. I cleared my throat. "G- Good morning, Virgil." I saw Virgil make a confused face in the corner of my vision before his eyes widened. I turned to look only after I heard the door slam. "Well, wonderful start to the morning.." I heard him mutter sarcastically. I held back a chuckle.

When he came out, Virgil was dressed in his hoodie and black jeans. This must be his usual attire. I set my cup down, trying to keep my voice steady. "Would you perhaps be interested in some tea?" He gave a quick nod, a dusting of red barely visible underneath all the makeup he was likely wearing. I'd already prepared a cup, which I hadn't to him. He sipped it quietly.

"I, uh, sorry, about that.." he turned his head away. I shook my head. "It's fine. I'm sure it would've been worse if I'd had Remus as a roommate." I let out a dry chuckle. "He's.. uh.." My voice faltered as I caught a glimpse of his face. His were brows furrowed, lips pressed into a thin line. I cleared my throat. "Ahem. Anyway, Roman invited us to brunch today, if you'd like to go." Virgle looked up from his tea. "Us?" I nodded. "He and I are already good friends. And, well.. you're my dormmate."

I could almost hear his thoughts. So he pities me. I shook my head, wishing I could take back the statement. "I mean, he wanted to get to uh.. know you better. It'll be us and his brother, along with Patton and Janus; the people from the party." Virgil nodded. "I guess I could go. What time?" "About 10, so we have about.." I checked my watch. "3 hours to prepare. I figured I'd spend that time getting ahead on my studies, but.." I glanced at Virgil. His eyes met mine.

They look sort of violet. I didn't think that was possible. I stared for a moment before we both looked away. (A/N: now cue the analogical nervous tics™, neck rubbing and throat clearing.) "Would you care to join me on a morning walk?" I asked. "I wasn't going to go because of the rain, but it seems to have stopped now." My immediate response to me saying that was regret. Not because I didn't want to hang out with Virgil, but because I was worried he would want to hang out with me. Virgil finished his tea. "I guess so. Couldn't hurt, right?"

~ time skip ~

We walked back in, both of us a little wet. Virgle was worse off, however, due to him not being as shielded because of our height difference. He flipped off his hood, walking to his room. "I'm gonna take a quick shower before we leave." I nodded. "We have precisely 98 minutes left, so take your time," I assured him, checking my watch. He gave a thumbs up before disappearing into his room.

Virgil's POV

I grabbed a towel and a spare change of clothes, along with my hygiene back and the case I'd packed my showering liquids into. Once I was in the bathroom, I closed the door and looked at the mirror. "Ugh.." I muttered, hanging a paper towel over it so I wouldn't have to see my face. Showers were more like dysphoria fests for me.

I checked the tiny window. We were up too high for anyone to see me, plus the window faced a tree. I pushed aside the curtain and turned off the light. It was still too bright, so I shut the curtain as well. "Perfect." I stared the water and stripped off my clothes, quickly stepping into the shower. It was just a little too dark to see my body parts, but light enough to see my shampoo and stuff. That was all that mattered. I just needed to see my bottles.

I'd showered in the dark thousands of times. It helped with dysphoria. I removed my cup, dumping the contents down the drain. At least with the lights off I couldn't see the blood mixing with the water. I gently washed it and put it back, then began to soap up my body. Once I finished I shampooed my hair and let the warm water do most of the rinsing.

Once I was dried and dressed, in more or less the same outfit as before, I turned on the light and moved the paper towel off the mirror. I brushed my teeth and combed my hair before leaving the bathroom. All within 30 minutes.

Once I was back in my room, I still had an hour to kill, so I decided to FaceTime Remy. He answered the call with a smile. "Hey b!tch, what the f!ck is up?" I smirked. "Not much, just got out of the shower." Remy laughed. "Is that why your hair looks like you ran a wet d!ck through it?" "Oh shut up, I just combed it!" Remy threw his head back in laughter, his shades almost falling off. "I was kidding, babe. How's college so far?" I shrugged. "Eh, not bad. How's the café?"

We talked for about an hour before I let him know I had to go. "Ooh, got a hot date?" I rolled my eyes. "More like a boring brunch." He laughed. "Well, good luck Virge. Bye~!" He waved as I hung up. I checked the clock on the wall. "Just in time." I smirked, standing up. "Now, time to suffer through brunch..." my smile faltered. But it couldn't be that bad, right?
